For the gear halpern meier tetrahedron: 1) Solve corners as you did. 2)Place edges. 3)Using a commutator, solve the gears. (Commutator: R U3 R' U3') By the way, it also has a special move

the gear pyraminx is a broken puzzle. i got this exact pack of cubes and the gears strip and misalign constantly, so i have to squeeze and turn the pieces and strip them to get them back where they belong constantly. i love the concept of the gear pyraminx but its assembled terribly, some design flaw in there. it would be extremely fun if it worked properly

Qiyi market these as original designs, but they kinda look like others we already know but since They're not available I can't know. The one called 3x3 looks to me a lot like the Geard Mixup cube, but Im not sure. What do you think? :)

It's very similar to Meffert's Gear Cube but is missing some pieces making it even easier. Edit: Actually, those pieces aren't stickered on Meffert's Gear Cube, so they are equivalent. Those pieces are tiled on some of Meffert's variations of the Meffert's Gear Cube such as the barreled version.

Having a better puzzle definitely helps as you don't have to be as exact with corner cutting and stuff but practice is more important You can go for a budget speed cube like a yuxin little magic if you want and upgrade for a cheap price
