Yes it should be fine.. but if keeping to any fire standards you would use the adhesive recommended for the fiberliner.

Actually depends on where you buy it from... we have trade accounts... you need to shop about. Box is best 3 packets.. some only have two.. and you can buy different size packets on there own which can be expensive... ready mixed better for kitchen bathrooms and areas prone to condensation.

Did you seal the wall first.. also gloss surfaces need sanding.. you have done something wrong or something has contaminated your paste..
