What's the chance Bjork will have a concept album next year called "Terra" featuring just 3 "devices" and vocals
@matt_leaf2 ай бұрын
I've just stumbled upon this and, it looks amazing. This feedback has already probably been shared, but, it reminds of hang drum or tabla. But wherein the case of a drum I use my two hands for the percussive elements, in this case it is more right hand focused for the striking performance. I'm not sure what the answer would be but it would be good for the playing elements to have some symmetry to them, where either hand can either be timbre or performance control, so the player could engage in dual handed performance or switch either hand to control modulation depending on the moment. However, as it stands the instrument is great achievement and concept, and, it's ok for it to be as it is. My only feeling is the right hand focus could be expanded to suit switch between dual handed strike and modulations.

Even though I like that he is innovating but this thing looks horrible, sounds horrible and I guess it feels horrible. It also just doesnt seem that one could do very much with it, playing it in a natural way. But I guess the thing is just so crazy and cool. It's just beyond me how someone could want buy this. A company like Pittsburgh modular repackages its synths over and over again and he is selling a piece of wood with a questionable interface, but being new and innovative must be good I guess. The sythesizer world is nothing but a marketing hell.

@Weyk47 Жыл бұрын
the cool thing about synths is that they are used to build parts of songs not always all of it. So maybe you have it in your mind that this is ONLY going to be used as a one man band situation. I can see Trent Reznor picking up one of these and making some VERY interesting sounds and moods for music. I can hear a multitude of different use cases from horror soundscapes for music in video games to ethereal backing tracks in music in general. Just to give you an actual reason on why it might be a cool thing that is indeed unique.
