Upload more videos please. These are crucial for our culture and for somalis to see a representation of themselves and culture. There isn't enough authentic somali dances available online. A bunch of uni student trash without traditional singing.

Great Poet and songwriter Mohamoud Abdullahi Sangub who is the Lead Dancer in this Video was once Told me that many Somali Elders had a great knowledge of the Mixtire of theMedicine used by Pharoah's to Mummify the Bodies of the Pharoah's. but would never reveal due to the religious complications, That is ISlam opposes mummyfying or Preserving the Dead Body, and he added that he inherited a lot of Stuff through a poems along with my friend who is a video journalist we hope to make a documentary

History : According to the historian Brian Brown « Again the representations of the early Puntites, or Somali people, on the Egyptian monuments, show striking resemblances to the Egyptians themselves. » By Brian Brown New York: Brentano's[1923]/ According to the historian Richard Pankhurst :"""The Egyptians sometimes called Punt land Ta-Netjeru, meaning "Land of the Gods," and considered it their place of origin ." (Richard Pankhurst, "The Ethiopian Borderlands":)
this dance is only danced by the somalis from the land of Pount and their Ancient-egyptians children ! It is proved historically !

“The Making of Egypt” (1939). Petrie states that the Land of Punt was “sacred to the Egyptians as the source of their race.”/ In “Short History of the Egyptian People,” by E. A. Wallis Budge. Budge stated that “Egyptian tradition of the Dynastic Period held that the aboriginal home of the Egyptians was Punt.”

the dynastical pharaohs of kemet, wore exatcly the same traditional dresses that these somalian folklore dance performers are wearing.. notice that thing the sistas are wearing on the heads.. well thats what all kemetians used to wear back in the days of old.. but anyways this further proves that kemetians wherent not only 50% Somalian-cushites, but rather 70% Somalian-cushites.. anyways bless the MAiN decendants of ancient egyptian=Kemetians = SOMALi
