Wales has this tradition of walking barefoot in the dew as well!! It's a Calan Mai/May Day/Beltane thing! I love weird pagan stuff like this 😅❤️. Oh man I loved The Virgin Suicides! ❤️ This misty morning field is so gorgeous! 😍.

Hello Marcella. I’m happy I found your channel through Kim and I’s event Mental Health May, one day I will read “all my puny sorrows” but I need to feel stronger to tackle it. I’ve just subscribed to your channel. Aloha.

I love this whole vibe- the background, your top, etc. I'm watching for a few minutes and I'll have to finish later. I didn't participate because I was so deeply in my own journey, but I love this and may participate next year. Oh Anna Karenina is a good one for mental health. I haven't read it, but I know the ending. I've been reading books more slowly too which is why I've been so absent from BookTube. It's not purposeful as much as I'm doing so many other things that bring me joy and reading is just one part of that rather than the whole part like it was previously. I'm hoping to vlog this weekend :) I know many countries are more agnostic these days, but is there a specific religion/denomination that's popular by you. We have loads of Christian Reformed people by me with Dutch ancestry, but maybe they fled because of religious reasons? You mentioned mass which made me think Catholicism was big there and I never associated that with The Netherlands. I loved the cover of your Virgin Suicides! Haha I love your accidental themed reading. Oh I want to reread East of Eden so so much now. Gotta run, but I'll watch the rest later because I'm loving this!

Omg thank you so much!! I'm gonna send you a private message about the religion here, because I guess that's a little complicated

Holden really bothered me when I read it in school as a teenager. I felt very differently when I read-read it in my 20s. I realized my teenage self related too much to him and I disliked the self I saw in him.

Oh yes, I guess it can be confronting when a character holds up a mirror to you.
