What a beautiful blessing to be able to beach comb for the winter in the sunshine. How long are your winters there? Thanks for sharing this beautiful beach and your beautiful children. Very nice bottle found by Mike. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I agree Susan!🧡 Life is a blessing, especially when family is our treasure! 🌅 Winters are very touchy out here. It’s always windy, not necessarily snowing. I’ve only had 1 white Christmas out of 14 here thus far.

Hey Mike, awesome to see you back on the beach with your camera....First find of the day - a big chunky cobalt blue !, are you kidding !?! ...Man, I got to get a ticket to Cape Breton, and bring a big bag !

Mike: I just got my order of the ornaments you made but there's only one problem -- I got them in order to give as gifts but I don't want to give any away! Not only are they beautiful but each one seems to have a unique personality. I love that the turtles are on a key chain. All the better to keep a bit of Cape Breton wherever I go! The frog is delightful. Putting a magnet on the back was a great idea. Thank you, Mike!

Another wonderful adventure my friend…..I am amazed at the amount of stuff you find up there. I haven’t seen a piece of sea glass in Long Island sound in 20 years plus. All my glass was found in the 70’s and 80’s off Rhode island and Block island. I will be sending you some cool finds that I know you will enjoy soon…. I was not well all summer and was not able to. Hope to make it up there again some time soon and you can show me some spots. Thanks again. Keep in touch. Stay safe. Michael f. Johnson ….

Hey Michael!☀️ I’m so glad to hear from you but sorry to hear you weren’t well this summer as you’re someone I’ll always have a place in my heart and mind for!🌅 Occasionally I meet people from L.I. Hey,..when I say Long Island,.. I am talking about long island sound in general and on my side of the sound. I’m sure on the Atlantic side it is much different. Just a heads up,.. in august I was diagnosed with lymphocytic leukemia,….. the good news is,… I don’t need treatment right now and probably won’t for like 10 years. They said if it ever gets to that point,.. they will just give me a pill to treat it. So it is in no way shape or form a death sentence. I’m very happy about that.Found a lot of treasures this fall metal detecting. Feeling much better. Wonderful to hear from you. Keep in touch. Thanks for being my friend. Respect!!! M. Johnson

nice to see you again my friend! I always look forward to seeing a new video from you. I have property in Cape Breton and have looked on some of the same beaches you are at or go to. Is there more than 1 Sea Glass Shanty, I went to one and they didnt know who you were lol so there must be. I will be out there Spring/Summer of 2023 and definetly coming to see you. where can we see some of the crafts and items that you make with it all?
@SeaGlassArchaeology2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your kind words Kristen!🌅 My “Sea Glass Shanty” is located downtown Sydney, 100 feet from “the worlds largest fiddle” (74 Esplanade). I’m curious as to where this other shanty was? And the general area of where you summer? Unfortunately, I don’t offer my creations online or share photographs. If you have the opportunity to stop by in 2023 you’ll absolutely understand why! 💯 Thanks again for your kindness and love Kristen! 🧡 I hope your summer was filled with sunshine and seashores!

I'm looking for glass in southern Sweden and I think our colors are different. I've been looking for a year and only found 6-7 dark blue, cobalt? it is very unusual, only tiny little pieces. I don't understand one thing, all the pebbles are washed up when the lake is calm. when there is little wind, everything disappears, and only sand and large stones remain. thank you so much for inspiring clips. follow you:)
@SeaGlassArchaeology2 жыл бұрын
Hi there Fredrik!🌅 I’m so glad you get to look for sea glass out your way. It is true; each area will have a unique set of colours, depending on the era which people used the waters for disposal, the glass which was available locally during that period as well however with respect to sea glass being unavailable at some times I’m unable to help with (unfortunately). If there is only small sea glass it suggests: The larger pieces were already collected (Many people pass smaller shards) The sea glass has aged down due to duration of time, or a very abrasive environment. Or, I find larger pieces stay with larger rocks, and smaller pieces of sea glass stay with the small pebbles. Thanks for letting me know you enjoy my video adventures!💫 Happy hunting my friend! 🧡
@fredrikcarlsson99242 жыл бұрын
