Like I commented on a different video of yours I have been at this since 78 you are giving some needed straight forward information about what it's like in this industry. You are correct, In this line of work you are an unsung hero. You can bust your ass & almost get kill by 10:am & nobody will give you as much as a thank you!!! It is truly amazing to me how many people have no idea we exist. We affect people's lives from every angle. And when someone asks you what do you do? You say HVACR they say oh your an A/C guy! I once work for an attorney as an outside expert on a mechanical case they were working. They told me I had to be "Qualified" in the Court of Law...... (You know, we will ask you some questions and your answers will or will not convince the judge that you know your shit!) I told the jury your world would come to a screeching halt without us. All I got was a blank stare! So I explained to them, I put the coolers in at the blood bank, I take care of the refrigeration at the hospital. I installed low temp storage at a local laboratory where they would send a biopsy to for analysis. I installed and maintain meat packing plants, I also install and maintain grocery stores around here. I maintain coolers & freezers at the jail down town, I also do work at the morgue, seafood processing plants, manufacturing plants , and so on! When the case was over the judge told me thank you he said he had not given a moment's thought about what we do on a day to day basis. And the simple fact that we literally move in to our vehicles. It is my office, dinning room, nap area, rolling shop, its everything! And if it breaks down you can barely function if displaced from your truck. It like having a 2" section of your brain stem removed. Your boss might say just grab that old truck in back of the shop, or get a rental till your truck is fixed. They have no idea! Please continue to encourage people like you are doing to think of the many areas of work in this field. Now shut up & get back to work😎

Now your talking. We have the Verizon contract in Central Texas. I have over 300 cell tower sites to take care of. Welcome to my world bro. I drive over 3 hours between sights sometimes. It's 24/7 calls. On call year round. No days off. Funny is 90 percent of calls come in after midnight.

Central Texas here. 103 degrees today. 48 straight days of 100 or better . No let up here It won't get below 90 for another month and a half. Maybe by October we will see some 80's. I'm looking to move your way in the next year or so. Just too hot here.

That brand and Bard are popular with telecommunications folks - they've had real problems with copper thieves at unattended sites so they've started making the units harder to get into. You can buy a "security" bit set on ebay for about $7 that pretty much covers all the security fasteners.

Andrew. A generic question. What kind of gloves do you use? That’s probably the hardest tool to pinpoint. Fitting is the worst thing. We use them to protect our hands and then when we put them on we get a call and have to take them off to answer the phone. Sheesh! I try using the touchscreen ones but they just don’t fit right. I saw you use the schrader valve torque driver from JB. I don't see any reason to use torx security spits other than trying to assure that they get the maintenance contract and frustrate the other company that do get the contract. Any way congrats on the 10k.
