I know it’s been 2 yrs but…… The markings on the warhead, the first line “40 破” means “40mm HEAT”. The second line “黑94” means it was produced in a military factory in Heilong Jiang Province, in 1994. As for the third line I really don’t have any idea😢 Great video, the most detailed one on RPG warheads that I’ve seen on KZbin so far!

@@Stray03 I’m not 100% sure what “94” means here, so plz take it with a grain of salt. It could be the year 1994, or the number/codename for that specific factory. And just out of curiosity, I watched another vid of yours on RGO grenades. Is it possible to screw a UDZ onto RPG warheads like this one? Saw some pictures of Ukrainian made RPG warheads with UDZs, and I was like wtf is that🤣
@Stray03
@Stray03 7 ай бұрын
Threads are a different pitch but the UDZ is slightly smaller it will fit into the hole. Pretty tightly. With one or 2 layers of electrical tape you could probably get it to screw into the threads enough to hold it in place. I don't know why anyone would make a suicide machine like that though. Lol.

@@Stray03 It looks like they’re trying to come up with a reliable way to detonate the warhead on their suicide drones. Haven’t seen any further evidence of them actually being used since that picture, so I guess it didn’t work very well…Thanks for your info anyway.
@Stray03

@lukasmuller0421 I'm not sure that would be good for anything other than low dropped improvised munitions, I'm sure I've seen one of those fuzes on a tm62 mine that was dropped once. I've noticed a lot of looped wire initiators on the suicide drones. Only problem would be AT use, where you need a sensitive fuze so it doesn't cause the drone to turn before firing, while not being too sensitive so that a quick turn doesn't set it off.

This video was sweet! So much good info and your right, many people get the PG-7 completely wrong. You did and excellent job explaining in detail. I have a project that's kind of a bastard child of a PRIG, AT-4 and RPG-7 I just need to test fire it. I am extremely pleased with the final design. Your videos helped a ton finding information and learning about the tech involved. I'll make a video shortly on it, hopefully this weekend I'll be able to fire it and get some footage to share

@@Stray03 I will definitely let you know when I upload the vid. I'll give a walk thru similar to what you do when you discuss projects. I'll try to make it as detailed as possible. The operation is very similar to the prig but it uses rocket propelled, fin stabilized, inert projectiles. The fins fold to save space and it came out very sleek looking. The sights are similar to that of an AT-4 and also shares a similar folding foregrip. If I can figure out how to upload photos to KZbin today I'll post a pic of it

Yeah The standard pg7 is designed as an anti tank weapon so not made for killing people, will still do it if you are close enough though, or unlucky. In Ukraine both sides are strapping extra shrapnel onto the sides where the explosives are to try to give them a dual role. There are specific heads for those that are also designed to be AP only they are 40 mm diameter.

I’ve seen the vehicles with the cable chain link looking deal for the rpg, if it stops the piezoelectric nose, why doesn’t it still go off when the 900 meter self destruct fuse go off?
@Stray03
@Stray03 2 жыл бұрын
Never really thought about it but one of 3 things I would assume happen in that situation. The head still impacts the tank and destroys itself from the impact force so the fuze can't function. The fuze fires blowing up the shaped charge which is either caught in the netting or partially damaged by the tank impact so although what is left can still explode it doesn't have any effect on the tank. And third fuze is also damaged or no longer has explosive to set off and so will still explode but not set off explosives. Either way if it explodes in the wrong spot the people in the tank are safe. There is a specific distance that a shaped charge has to be from a tank when exploding. Without that stand off it is unlikely to cause any damage to the inside of the vehicle.

Could it be that a spinning shaped-charge is less effective because the centrifugal force saps some of the energy developing the copper jet penetrator?

IRAM munitions are showing up in The Eastern Front of Ukr. They look like regular RPG 7 motors attached to (?) 82 mm mortar bombs with adaptors. Russia developed two Anti personnel rounds for Rpģ7 in 1999 and 2013. I wonder how 'official' this new IRAM round is as I surmise there is more to it than just watching FSA vids and havinģ Waldemar turnout adapters at the arsenal.
