Great video Davie. Some real nuggets that I’ll take away and try when I’m fishing. Opening the loop when casting nymphs is something I’ve struggled with, great to see the action in practice.🙏 I’ve been ‘washing’ my cast after degreasing since I saw you do it in a previous video. So simple yet so effective. Thank you.

Very nice stream you have there. Enjoying all your videos for about 10 years already.Thanks for filming your fishing. The fishing we dont have here sadly. While Ireland is fairly close to nl. It would be really nice to go on a small fishing vacation to Ireland. Maybe next year,as the cold season is near.

Brilliant as always. I tie any fly size 18 or smaller to 4 feet of tippet,usually at home under a strong light and then wrap them on piece of foam pipe insulation to carry to the stream. The eyes are going don't you know

I have recently moved to Ayrshire and wondered where you fish on the Rivers Ayr and Doon as I will be looking to join a club/syndicate on both for next year. Any help advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

Hi Billy, Ayr Angling Club have a stretch on both the River Ayr and Doon as well as a couple of lochs, there's also a few clubs up the river Ayr that you could join though the best place to get info is to ask in Gamesport in Ayr as they may be able to point you to the right person to speak to..On the Doon you have the Patna AC, Drumgrange and Keirs in Dalmellington/Waterside and Dalrymple AC who sell season tickets as well..I hope this is of some help to you and thank you for the kind words.. Hi Davie thanks for taking the time to reply, I appreciate it. I will ask in Gamesport as you suggested. The stretch of the Ayr in this video looks ideal for me regarding access and wading. I fish a stretch further up where the access isn’t so good and wading is pretty treacherous. Not as young as I was and I find wading there very difficult as the stretch is very rocky. Anyway Davie thanks again and please keep up the great work on here, both the fishing and tying are excellent. Regards Billy
