I cannot believe this was so long ago. That night in The Recher in Towson, north side of Baltimore, Maryland, USA was truly magical. I was the old lady in the back with the walker. It took something to get there, and the new walker was it. You restored my faith in the future of music. Thank you. I might even drive to Harrrisburg to see if I can catch a break.

For me, the "come on" part is just mind-blowing! When Julia comes in with her bit (third "come on") it is so unexpected, but just so perfect! Sarah over the top completes it. Every time I listen to it again that bit catches me. They all blend so well. Huge props for the arrangement. Love you guys - Rob, London

Brilliant. I am not young, but don't like to be stuck just listening to music from my youth, no matter how great it is/was. I am so happy to find these exciting, talented and original musicians. I love the way they sound with Julia. She -- and they -- besides being top-flight musicians and singers, have that extra something -- that je ne sais quoi -- that it takes to stand out. The harmonies are legend and the rhythms, so engaging ...
@skyweaver10010 жыл бұрын
Just discovered WOTE and I'm 56!! They are like a breath of fresh air:) Harmonies to die for. What I really like about most of their videos is that the camera is often fixed so YOU get to chose what to look at. Too many videos over the past ten years use 2-3 second scene changes. You can enjoy this video again and again just watching the subtle parts that bring me out in Goosebumps even at my age!... i.e. Marshal's backing when Julia starts that brilliant solo at 1.18 and that glance between Julia and Sarah at 3.05. Brilliant.

This is what I love with really good music. I usually don't like this "kind" of music, all soft and reggae pop- ish , but I still enjoy all of WOTE' s music. Why? Becouse they have talent, and they like the music the play and they like TO play it. Lots of love and respect for them and their work!

@LegalVampire10 жыл бұрын
teako north It's not...it's 'they sound like this one'. Sound like a swan doesn't make sense... x) He says that they sound like 'this one' because in the original song it is about a man at war and the song is a written to sound like an army marching song, so he's saying the songs he hears in the army sound like the one he's singing.
@teakonorth439310 жыл бұрын
bunny well, the official lyrics disagree with you. and actually, the term 'sounds like a swan' DOES make sense in the song, as the sound of a swan is often considered sad and melancholy. there is a reason the term "swan song" exists. a quick google search also reveals the line to be "sounds like a swan." so...
@mgsg5010 жыл бұрын
This is great and all, but it's a studio multitracked recording that they then made a music video for. You're not actually watching them perform the song, which I would have loved to see since I think it would still sound great.

@dreathnor10 жыл бұрын
Matthew Garcia Whenever I see someone say something like "they're not as good live as they are in video", I facepalm. I've heard the same thing said about Dragonforce and probably every other band. That's because they, as humans, make mistakes, no matter how familiar they are with a song. When musicians are live, they kinda have to go along with their mistakes, whereas recorded, they can record, re-record, punch-in and out, etc. I guess to me, it's really a non-point trying to compare a studio recording to a live performance.

Some earlier stuff was almost certainly studio-recorded (or at least post-corrected). This one I'm pretty sure is legit live recording.
