I'm used to hearing this with an American accent. I didn't expect to hear such a strong accent from that large a choir, speaks a lot for their precision

Some of it is also choir singing techniques. You round your vowels a lot more and change pronunciations just slightly compared to commercial singing.

This choir is one of the best in the world. All these smiling young faces, shining and full of hope, black, white, blonde, dark, men, women singing with one voice in harmony. Wearing necklaces that speak of unity in plurality. The fact that you could bring down the walls of Apartheid, exist peacefully, and produce joyous songs, brings tears to me every time. I love you guys! What a great world this would be if everyone followed this example, sang together and smiled. You are beautiful, every one of you. Your conductor and musical director and orchestra musicians are fine people. The songs are excellent and so well executed. Live forever, choir of Stellenbosch! You are magnificent. Thank you for being the light in darkness. Greetings from California! ❣❣❣

I wonder what animals would think if they heard a large choir of synchronized humans. Everyone’s voices twining together in harmony, the pure strength of it rumbling in your chest. Would they think they heard something unnatural? Eerie? Beautiful? Angelic even? Would they be hypnotized? Would they be scared? I’ve seen videos of animals listening to instruments. I wonder…

I was not expecting that. At the first note my jaw dropped. What these guys (especially the conductor) did was absolutely amazing. The average person has no idea how hard it is to get a large group to sound so great, and acapella on top of that. Such precision. All the singers are fantastic, but without the drive and determination of the conductor all that talent would go to waste. What an accomplishment!

I've sung in some choirs, but the finish, precision, balance, accuracy (eg timing), detail - incredible. Ok, back then we didn't have microphones, just echoey church halls (UK - outside = rain), and we were kids. But seriously amazing, addictive. (Oh-ooh-woah) What do I stand for? Most nights, I don't know anymore [Refrain] Oh-woah, oh-ooh-woah-oh Oh-ooh-woah-oh, oh-oh Oh-woah, oh-ooh-woah-oh Oh-ooh-woah-oh, oh-oh [Verse 1] This is it, boys, this is war (Oh-woah, oh-ooh-woah-oh) What are we waiting for? (Oh-ooh-woah-oh, oh-oh) Why don't we break the rules already? I was never one to believe the hype (Oh-woah, oh-ooh-woah-oh) Save that for the black and white (Oh-ooh-woah-oh, oh-oh) Try twice as hard, and I'm half as liked But here they come again to jack my style [Bridge] And that's alright (That's alright)I found a martyr in my bed tonight She stops my bones from wondering Just who I, who, I, who I am Oh, who am I? Mmm, mmm [Chorus] Well, some nights, I wish that this all would end' Cause I could use some friends for a change And some nights, I'm scared you'll forget me again Some nights, I always win (I always win) But I still wake up, I still see your ghost Oh -Lord- , I'm still not sure what I stand for, oh (Oh-ooh-woah-oh) What do I stand for? (Oh-ooh-woah-oh) What do I stand for? Most nights, I don't know [Bridge] (Oh, come on) So this is it? I sold my soul for this? Washed my hands of that for this? I miss my mom and dad for this? (Oh, come on) No, when I see stars, when I see stars, that's all they are When I hear songs, they sound like a swan So come on, oh, come on, oh, come on Oh, come on [Verse 2] Well, that is it, guys, that is all (Oh-woah, oh-ooh-woah-oh) Five minutes in, and I'm bored again (Oh-ooh-woah-oh, oh-oh) Ten years of this, I'm not sure if anybody understands This one is not for the folks at home (Oh-woah, oh-ooh-woah-oh) Sorry to leave, Mom, I had to go (Oh-ooh-woah-oh, oh-oh) Who the fuck wants to die alone All dried up in the desert sun? [Bridge] My heart is breaking for my sister And the con that she called "love" And then I look into my nephew's eyes Man, you wouldn't believe The most amazing things That can come from Some terrible nights [Refrain] Oh-woah, oh-ooh-woah-oh Oh-ooh-woah-oh, oh-oh Oh-woah, oh-ooh-woah-oh Oh-ooh-woah-oh, oh-oh [Outro] The other night, you wouldn't believe The dream I just had about you and me I'd called you up, but we both agreed It's for the best you didn't listen It's for the best we get our distance, oh For the best, you didn't listen It's for the best we get our distance, oh

AMAZING!! In awe of the fact that with a group of young university students who are constantly moving on and out, they are still able to achieve this level of harmony and beautiful blending😍

You can tell that this choir has been carefully and intentionally directed to fit the vision of the director, and that this has been practiced often. This is very well done and the choir sounds great together.
