PART 3 OF SEASON 1
An invisible and mysterious force field descends upon a small actual town of Chester's Mill, Maine, USA, trapping residents inside, cut off from the rest of civilization. The trapped townspeople must discover the secrets and purpose of the "dome" or "sphere" and its origins, while coming to learn more than they ever knew about each other and animals too.

I'm still trying to figure out how an entire town has no insulin. How were they planning on surviving before this? Do they have insulin deliveries that come into town daily? If water can make it through the dome, then why can't they get insulin through when that's a liquid too? Or they could just make some. At least this time around they have instructions.

Most places have insulin delivered from nearby centers that have laboratories/larger pharmacies to produce it. This town in the series is more of a suburban town, not necessarily a city, as viewed with the town medical center not having all of the equipment necessary for certain procedures (if there were no dome, they would airlift/ambulance patients to a more advance medical center for surgery and such). The town pharmacy was also looted by the pastor in the last recap which has caused a medicine shortage because he burned all he could. As for the water, the dome does work like a sieve so they could drop insulin through it, but that would be expensive and ruin the insulin altogether because it needs to be sterilized and stored properly. Maybe the town could produce it, but they would still need a proper setting to create it for proper administration? I'm not an expert, but hope this helps answer some of your questions.

He had to have been a psycho before that. Hoarding food? You would just be the last to die when it runs out. Work together to come up with ideas up till the very end. If all hope is lost, lose your shit but it is so dumb to throw in the towel quickly. I know, its a tv show, but it frustrates the hell out of me when they highlight humans freaking out at the beginning of a crisis, and only a few level headed ppl that have to work even harder to just solve the problems the dumbasses created.
