The Soviet P-40 used to be my favorite plane in 2013. You would face so many spitfires and all you needed to do was go into a steep dive and then pull straight vertical. If they followed they would rip their wings.

i remember when spitfires used to rip their wings so often, playing the Mk24 was absolute hell. But they no longer snap and had their Hispano Mk2 fixed and they're borderline unstoppable.

Doing 'just fine' was about what I perceived as 'meatgrinding fighters' one would throw en masse into Med/Burma/China without a care, while top guns would be reserved in, say, W. Europe. I wasn't very negative about P-40, if at all. I wasn''t even negative about the Hurricanes. If my trying to be sound funny with the use of the word 'shitty' was the part that did not land, then my bad. English is not the first language and you never get these things completely right.

I've always found the P40's to be some of the best planes for me. Next to the first C.202, Ta152H, Re2005, and the Tigercat. Though, the P40F is probably my least liked. I don't really know why. Like I can still do well with it, but the E and C treat me a lot better. But P40 content is P40 content

I struggle with this plane so much. I am new to WT and after 2.0 rank 1 it's like hell, almost every plane I face is better at climbing/turning/speed or all of these together. A good game for me is 1 kill and an assist. Yeah, I am not good and make a lot of mistakes, but it still feels like I have little to no chance even if I do my best

Defyn, play Su-17(22)M4 as a fighter later, it is surprisingly fun with 6 R-60Ms and sweep wings, basically sidegrade of MiG-23M (but with adequate amount of countermeasures)

The old interwar 2.0-2.7 planes get sucked into 2.7 hell and beyond where they are an easier snack than the biplanes that came before them.
