Totally agree. It's so rare to meet a teacher who walks his talk, especially in the US. Almost 9 out of 10 are business oriented people and doing it as their game in this life.

I am 55 years old and I have met spectacular people throughout my life, but you, Jon Kabat Zinn, whom I have followed for about 15 years are probably at the top of my list.Thank you for being you and for sharing your wisdom. I hope one day I have the honor to thank you in person.Yours truly,Marco Antonio Meza

During one of the most difficult times of my life, I came across Jon Kabat-Zinn and mindfulness. There is a sense of awareness, peace, presence whenever I hear Jon speak. This webinar was a reminder on how mindfulness works and is practised throughout our day and life. Thank you Jon Kabat-Zinn for all you have done and continue to do.

Lisa Snell Same here. Jon Kabat Zinn is my hero. I've been suffering from anxiety and depression and because of Jon Kabat-Zinn I'd grown closer to mindfulness and meditation.

I am very fortunate to find this non-cult meditation practice. The feeling and the change are profound. I just hope that I can meet him in person.

My son cries and is in FEAR that he won't sleep because he loves to sleep and can't sleep well enough for his satisfaction, and he is a long time meditator so I told him to meditate on the Lord day and night, meaning pick a scripture that is helpful and memorize it and say it out loud a lot. That Meditation where you clear your mind is not working for him yet he swears by it. He recommended this video so he watched. He panics at night because he is so fearful that he won't sleep, it's crazy. I pray that he gets help. He has an appointment in 11 days at a good sleep center and that is like forever to him. If anyone prays, please pray for him to get good rest and sleep and is made whole. Thank you.

+Bernadette Durocher Your son is in my prayers. I as well have an idea about a few tips you can try. I had fear of the bed at a point in my life and got over it by at first learning to be comfortable sleeping else where, like a couch or a comfy chair. Also google, "Fear of the bed". It may be that he is afraid of his bed rather than his lack of not being able to sleep.
@bernadettestar8 жыл бұрын
That would be great because he brings his pillow top, buys old mattresses and switches off, on the floor, and he is coming into town on a train and won't be doing that at all for a weekend.

Taking an MBSR course in Chicago with a compatible teacher turned out to be the most important thing I ever did for myself. It was this man’s course he had learned from, and was teaching it to me too in a group.

I am so deeply grateful for this video from Jon Kabat-Zinn!!! I really appreciate how simple, clear and relate-able he makes the practice of mindfulness meditation, and I am especially helped by his constant reminder to try this without judgements of myself and/or others. I strive to become more compassionate, and present, to myself and others, with the help of this practice. I really enjoy his talk at Google from 2007, also available on here on youtube, where he is very entertaining, funny, and walks a group of G's employees through a brief meditation. If you haven't already seen that one, I strongly recommend it, too!

As is tremendously true that the present is the only time which it's useful to prepare the future, Jon says things that are much more important for the future of man than any other politician, economist, man of learning, priest and anybody said or could say. Things that he says should not be personal assets of few, but should be teached to everybody, because mindfulness is the only way to let the people understand the real prioirites for the future of life on this planet, in order to seriously take charge of them.

thank you, every now and again periodically I have tuned in & practiced John Kabat Zinn's body scan, gradually I have tuned out of all the voices & choices online and have listened & watched no other videos but the view's & sound of sea waves for weeks, the body being 79% water responded to this attunement, all else follows in this establishing of new patterns of behavior during the lockdown finds me here now
