This was the first ride from our Quebec Trip, we rode the Nelson Nord Loop at VBN to get acquainted to the area. This Video is sponsored by Quebec City Mountain Biking - who brought us out to explore five impressive trail networks. One Region Five centers | Our Itinerary ➡️ www.quebecvelo...
Big thanks for Gabe and Phil for being out guides on this ride. Gabe has a KZbin channel of his own called MTBQC / @mtbqc
Vallée Bras Du Nord - Or VBN is the first stop on our trip. VBN has two completely different sectors, Shannahan and Saint Raymond. We only got a chance to ride at the Shannahan sector, but that's also where the most iconic trails are. This Sector can also be broken down into 3 different areas - The Gravity Sector, the Enduro Sector, and the Adventure Sector. In this video we're riding the Gravity Sector but I'll have a video from both the Nelson Nord Loop and Legende Trails coming later.
For Lodging we were put up at the Roquemont hotel in Saint Raymond. They have restaurant, bike shop and everything you need right there, and that's also where the other trail sector is too.

Gab was doing MTB QC at least....a whole year, maybe a year and a half before me I think, he was the first one to do stabilized video in Quebec and show Sentiers du Moulin, VBN and MSA in a stunning way. Mad respect to him!

Really wanted to show you and Hailey that kind of riding at VBN, Québec isn't all about though trails! That ride was very enjoyable on e-bikes, but the pain an pleasure of riding it on non e-bike is also something to experienced!

Love these types of rides, try to do long distance/multi hour rides once a week or two. To me this is still the core essence of MTB. Riding bicycles in nature. Wouldn't be opposed to seeing more of these long ride videos.

If you get a chance, ride a Transition Relay or a Santa Cruz Heckler SL. Both have the Fazua Ride 60 motor system and in the trail mode, it feels quite natural on technical climbs, track stands, etc... Totally agree with you concerning some other bikes I've ridden with more traditional full power motors.

Best "office view" when having lunch on the trail! Btw, the camera doesn't do justice to how steep some of those sections really are! Very impressive riding. I've only done it once, during opening season. Regular bike with steel toe boots and full chainsaw gear.. It wasn't an easy ride, but it was a great day!

Enjoyed the video. Great views. It was definitely more of a technical trail than I thought it was going to be when you said you were taking e bikes...lol I am more of a hiker than a mountain biker. However, I am learning the skill on some easy mountain bike trails in the Virginia area.

When he mentions the horse flies right after that patch of butterflies, that reminded me of something. I Cannot recall seeing a single horse fly this year chasing me down the trail. I am up in NH and weird b/c they are always a pain every year.

Around the same time we had them in Vermont, technically they were deer flies (not horseflies), and they've never been an issue in years past.

I know lots of people hate on E-Bikes, but this more relaxed type of riding is a great reason for owning one. Opens up a lot more trails for more novice or less fit riders who can't perform for 5 hours on long trails. I think I'll end up grabbing one eventually for days I want to explore trails but strain less... Lol

Did the trilogy last Thursday on my regular bike. Took us 5h45. Everything was wet as it rained pretty hard twice during that time. Some parts of the trails were very hard but still enjoyed the whole ride. So beautiful.

An e-bike thing I have noticed that’s similar to single speed, short (-165mm cranks) allow you to maintain higher rpm’s in a smooth manner that doesn’t effect your body positioning as much on technical terrain…..this is a legit best spent $$$ to performance increase for an e-bike IMO

Im new to mountain biking and still choosing what kind of bike to get. I only borrow my coworkers chromag hardtail with slx/gt components. Any tips to get better and to have better endurance? 30mins on a blue trail feels like I played 3 games of basketball already. 😅

Pacing is something you learn over time. Ease into your ride, and try to go a consistent effort. It's pretty easy to over exert yourself at the beginning of the ride because you feel good in the moment but then find yourself struggling. Also do long easy rides to build up your base fitness. When you are less tired, everything becomes easier.

@SsmAnyfeSt

It's more cross-country but still a black one so if your talking about a wife who ride green trails from time to time, this is not a good idea! Blue trails okay but she will walk some sections. A lot of people have broken bones there and you can't use your cellphone over there so better be safe still...
@SkillsWithPhil
@SkillsWithPhil 2 ай бұрын
I'm not sure if you are joking or not, but to be clear this ride is pretty brutal in spots. It's not a smooth bike path and I would not recommend bringing anyone who doesn't have much riding experience.

They all have rentals. If you're more into this kind of trails, far from civilisation, river, etc, you can rent ebikes so you can go more. A lot of distance over there. Otherwise E47 is a mix of xc and enduro. Sentier du moulin is more enduro. Massif is DH with chairlift.
