I am the youngest in my family. When my older siblings moved out, I would frequently go out shopping with my mom to a lot of these stores that you frequent, and we would spend some time there before heading to Starbucks or to get boba. It is genuinely one of my favorite things to do with her. Now that I live on the opposite side of the country from her, I deeply miss these spontaneous shopping trips. Watching your vlogs brings back some of those happy feelings. Thank you.

You're so right about the texture of a moisturizer. My kids have eczema and my 7yo refuses to use anything other than the Neutrogena Hydroboost Gel (FF, of course) because it glides on. Another he doesnt mind is the Eucerin Essential Oil Balm you raved about a couple years ago. You have no idea how much you've helped me care for my eczema-riddled kids. We just had my 10yo do the soak and slather regiment, with plastic wrap overnight.

I love the eucerin essential oil balm for my dishydrotic eczema. I find I can't use it daily though for my full body. One of my favorite moisturizers is Aveeno baby lotion. It is not super heavy though, so you might need to layer. It's a nice plain watery texture. What are your other favorite moisturizers?

I think another reason for the peeling labels is to make the jars easier to recycle. I have healing ointments from Aquaphor, CeraVe and Vaseline. I enjoy using all 3 but Vaseline is the best for my chapped lips and the backs of my dry hands. 💋🖐 the All-Over Body Balm stick is my favorite! 😊 And yes....the Gold Bond Retinol lotion is the bomb! I use it at night on my face, neck and arms. So silky smooth!

My hubby and I are loving the Gold Bond Retinol Overnight as well as Crepe Corrector, both products work equally well and there is a noticeable difference, thank you Dr Dray for this amazing Gold Bond recommendation, makes great stocking stuffers. Loved the soft and cozy blanket ,bought one last year for our chihuahua she loves it. She drags it all over the house to wherever she wants to go. If any family members are caught with it, she steals it away. We have purchased another for xmas. Also loving your pajamas, I have ordered myself a new set.

Can you go back to your traditional way of unboxing the advent calendars? Im assuming you want to combine the content for tiktok/shorts and your weekend vlog (makes sense if you are showing the same products), but I watch your YT vlogs specifically for longer-form content. It's too much information condensed in two minutes if Im watching this way (vs on my phone or scrolling through tiktok) and the narration style isn't always my fave. It's just so relaxing to watch you unbox and listen to your more thoughtful first impressions! The shorter-form content is great as well, and Im sure people enjoy it, I just prefer something slower paced if Im coming to "normal" YT for a traditional vlog. Hope that makes sense! In any event, thanks so much for sharing the Stylevana and YesStyle treats you get each year, it really is fun to watch and live vicariously through your unboxing!

I have no complaints about any video content or length. I am not on tik tock, Instagram or /Twitter. I don't use my phone for watching videos, so that might be why I don't mind. I use mt tablet or laptop because I cannot see stuff on my phone.
@lorencappelson6475
@lorencappelson6475 6 ай бұрын
@@sheila8730 cool I'm glad you feel that way. I am also not watching this on my phone, that's the whole point. I watch the vlogs on my laptop, so I enjoy longer-form content that way. If I were watching on my phone (or on tiktok, IG reels, etc) that would be different; I'd be expecting shorter videos. Anyway it was just a preference/request; I understand Dr Dray doing what she feels most comfortable doing.

I started tretinoin 8 weeks ago but before that I was using the Gold bond retinol cream that u love so much on my very sensitive face and I loved it. I’m now just using it on my body and I’m on my second tube since August. I agree it’s a best of 2023. I also use the foot cream in the line (without retinol) and it’s amazing too. Second ingredient is urea. Once I’m out I’ll just go to Vaseline. Happy holidays Dr. Dray❤🎄

I love the Gold Bond products too, I use the Retinol one on my arms getting in there really good on the upper arms and elbows, the I put Vaseline over it. I also every other night i put it on my neck and chest, the Gold Bond Crepe skin goes over that. I get lots of Compliments on my throat area. Since learning things from Dr. Dray my skin has never looked so good. My Dermatologist's told me to keep doing what I have been doing. Nite. Merry Christmas 🌲🤶🎅🎁

I watched that one too and had the thought that the study had people starting with the strongest available Tretinoin and some subjects using it twice daily! Yikes! I wondered how many in this group actually compiled, it took me seven months to be able to use Tretinoin 0.05 every night without my face peeling off. They didn’t seem to address the compliance issue. I just don’t see how topical Tretinoin used once in the evening 5 - 7 times per week (the way dermatologists recommended), could possibly cause death.

@@paulachristie7807 I agree, the researchers didn't understand the assignment! I'm so sorry it took you 7 months to adapt to using the tretinoin but I was happy it didn't affect me at all. Enjoy the rest of your weekend unless you're going to be watching tomorrow.😊

have you noticed if your entire face is a lighter color now too? What SPF do you use? The blue light from all of your screens is also UV light, in case you weren't aware. (We also need full spectrum sunlight 15min day on skin to make VitD, which can be hard to get staying inside all day, if you are able to take 15 min break outside, put your bare arms in sun. Don't be like me and deplete your Vit D, it sucked)

@db-gb5xi
@db-gb5xi 6 ай бұрын
Probably provided you don't have a bad reaction to it. She's used the maelove fade away (which has antioxidants in it) at night with her tret. There are also differing opinions on whether or not to use antioxidants during the day or evening or both. There are also products that combine both antioxidants and retinoids in one. Dr Dray has a couple recent videos talking about antioxidants that might interest you, do anti-aging serums work? or best antioxidant skincare products at the drugstore.

So, coconut oil in products doesn’t cause any issues on my face. However, back in the day when people were recommending to just clean the face with coconut oil (basically a first cleanse before double cleansing became popular in the U.S.), I got terrible breakouts from doing that. I mean…duh, of course I did. I wasn’t using any surfactants to get the oil residue off my skin. But my point is to say I believe this is where coconut oil got that reputation. People mis-attributed the reason for their sudden breakouts. After that experience and my similar experience trying to follow the “curly girl method,” I now no longer listen to ANYTHING that is trending. If it’s trending, I’m not doing it. Or I do a modified version - for example, after listening to your take on “slugging,” I will occasionally apply very thin layers of CeraVe healing ointment to my facial skin when it’s flaking or to my feet when they are dry.

If it was a first cleanse, that means a second cleanser was needed no?
@sovrappensiero1
@sovrappensiero1 5 ай бұрын
@@21972012145525 back at that time, people were saying the second cleanse wasn’t necessary. They were saying the coconut oil by itself was enough to remove dirt, makeup, sunscreen, etc., and that using soap was too stripping. That was bad advice for at least some people. I think the coconut oil did not completely rinse off the skin (because there is no emulsifying agent in it) and that residue causes breakouts for some people. That gave coconut oil the reputation of being “comedogenic” I think.
