Google, Facebook and all these companies are extra punishing towards honest people. I used to work in a company where there was a problem and the experienced media people were like do not admit mistake at all, act dumb but don’t admit wrong doing at all, and things turns out ok. Later I asked them and they said they use intentionally threatening language because of which most people admit mistakes, this allows them to not do any investigation and that it clears them of any litigious claims in the future because of a recorded confession. @retronymphАй бұрын
That's not really correct. The truth is that any video about Nintendo games could technically be copyright infringement. You didn't pay a license, and watching someone else's gameplay could be used as a market replacement for buying the game yourself. Obviously it would be ridiculous for Nintendo to strike every video that contains their games, so they don't, but technically, they could, and that's how they get videos of the mig products. They have no grounds to take down videos featuring a product they don't like, not without like, suing KZbin itself or something, but they can strike videos that contain their copywritten material. All this is to say what they're doing is definitely within their rights, but I think the selectiveness in what they're choosing to strike definitely says something.

Leaving a legacy of positive and constructive behavior is admirable and worth more than money. Always leading by example. That's why people love this guy. Some companies just want a salesman posing as a reviewer. The salesman's job is to find all of the positives, to then fit the product to every customer possible. The reviewer's job is to find all of the negatives so people dont buy something unnecessarily. Being able to deceive people into thinking you're trustworthy while doing the first one is truly a skill. I believe that a trusted advisor relationship with customers is more effective for maintaining a solid customer base. But maintaining a "face" for the business is a huge aspect for some companies, so I get it. People won't pay premium prices for something that has a minimal increase in quality if they can't be sold on the appearance.

Looking forward to your RP Mini review! I held off due to the initial build issues with the RP4 and honestly, the size of the screen. 4” would have been PERFECT 😭 Interested to see a side by side with something like the 405m.

I was one of the 40,000 people that saw your Mig Switch video. And to show support for them taking your video down and any monetization you would have gotten from it, I watched all the ads that played on this video and clicked on them to try and maximize your revenue for this video. Love your content Russ, keep it up!

And this is why we stay watching your channel! Has all the unbiased information we need. It's a shame these companies hate the truth.

I'm really excited about new RPs, on paper they are look awesome. Still can't decide which one I want to get -- it's comfort for the eyes on a bigger screen (especially with higher-end systems and streaming) vs great pocketability with a lot of power. Seems like the best option is to get them both :) But as you said in the video, it's a good strategy to wait for the reviews, so I will definitely follow that advice.

"Backing up games hasn't been ruled on" "I can't afford to defend myself against their lawyers" This is exactly why it hasn't been ruled on yet, and their approach is problematic. They only go after small outlets who can't afford the court processes to force a ruling, and go as hard as they can against them to try to intimidate those that might be able to. They didn't try to 💀 Russ' channel here, but a quick search will cough up a lot of overly aggressive nonsense from them. Yet somehow Palworld still exists which I'm sure has zero relation to the fact a small studio is sitting on hundreds of millions because the game blew up. They only pick on the small kid, which is just bully behavior. For my part I've stopped buying games for their platform new, I don't talk about their games or platforms, and have canceled my NSO subscription. I'm done contributing to their operations, I would encourage others to do the same if they share the same concerns.

Backing up games was ruled on over 40 years ago, and is legal.

I also had issues with the mig switch / flash so I feel your pain. It's a real shame ayoneo have stopped working with you i hope they watch this video and see it as an over sight as you are one of only a handful of reviewers I religiously watch for the latest handheld information.

With the way retroid is going it kind of seems like they want a piece of the Odin pie. Very interesting. Would love to see what else AYN does as well, I love the handheld market so much
@vinny5262Ай бұрын
Retroid and ayn are not competing. They are the same company or at least are owned by the same company. AYN is their premium line while retroid is more budget friendly. That's why the new retroids use snapdragon 865 instead of 8 Gen 2.

I can't wait for the RP5, it has a larger screen which was the only hesitation I had about the RP4. I think this is going to be the perfect mid-range handheld for me.

I know the Ayaneo thing has been settled, but at the same time I'm kind of interested in seeing Russ' response to the actual retail experience - I do know he's talked about it in the past. I do like the early previews and first impressions of new hardware, but I also like to know what the legit 'purchase' experience is like. A lot of times we're dealing with companies on the other side of the planet - and I can't lie, my first Odin purchase was a bit of a nail biter, sitting in "processing" for what felt like months - it'd be nice to have Russ' perspective on the full experience as a consumer.
