The Old Age demo is magical to me, it radiates intimacy, just hearing Kurt's process as he runs through this repeating motif, settling into a consistent structure, even more than the actual main part of the recording, I just can't get over the beginning, the melodies and delivery Kurt could come up with on the spot, they're awe inspiring.

"Creation" as I know it, is one of my favorites. There is a haunting aura of those old recordings, you can feel that longing before it was heard by anyone. As in the case with "Old Age," I absolutely agree and prefer the home recording. There is just something the studio can't capture, perhaps because it's capturing too much? The same with the "You Know You're Right" home recording. NeVeRmInD what Courtney did to butcher both of them. I notice the same thing in my old home demos on my mini cassette when I listen back, I don't want to re-record them, they sound perfect in the lonely low-fi distance...in the middle of the night, by candlelight

9:30 Can definitely heart Kurt singing something like "I'm feeling hungry" in that demo :o Also, I don't remember which friend of his said it, but one said that Kurt wanted Beans to be on an album, and that he had to be talked out of it.😭 There's also an ?Earlier? demo version of Clean Up Before She Comes that's available, so it seems as if he saw something in that song! :) I've really enjoyed these two videos, and I love the way you present everything. Great job with researching, too! His cover of Low Rider also contains one of the lowest documented notes he ever sang! (D#2)
