It was nice to see stories without any burdens of tying in with the major story arcs. The Spydancer, I feel, was exceptionally well done and the tie in with WWII France was perfect. No Sith or Jedi either and a great story-line but still powerfully done an in my opinion the best of season 2. Screechers Reach was perfectly Irish in story form, and as a huge fan of Celtic mythology and stories, this one was one of my favorites and gets second place in my humble opinion. Picking my third favorite is hard: Sith is nicely done and just different enough to be memorable. Journey to the Darkhead was also a great story-line and you felt this could be a series. Aau's song was also really interesting in its story-line and beautiful as well. I Am Your Mother was lighthearted but well done and fun, and The Bandits of Golak was visually wonderful and a great taste of Indian culture mixed seamlessly into Star Wars. The Pit was dark but well done and powerful in its subject matter. And In the Stars had a feeling of doom and gloom mixed with perseverance that resonated well.

I loved Journey to the Dark Head (it just makes me hungry for more Star Wars anime/animation of similar style. This one especially is so beautiful and very reminiscent of some great shows like ATLA/LOK or anime series in terms of visuals. Star Wars and this style of animation just go well together. I also think that there was some really cool world building here and I'd love to see what sort of conflicts take place in this period, whether canon in some unexplored era of the timeline or AU). Also loved Aau's Song. It's just so wholesome and pretty. It leaves you feeling good. It's so accessible for a younger audience - its so colourful and vibrant. But it's also got cool story ideas and isn't hindered by goofiness and slapstick. It's beautiful storytelling. And finally, Screecher's Reach. Another interesting and unique story. I was creeped out. And entranced by the characters. And that ending as well....I want to see more of Daal's journey and their relationship (if at all) with their friends that they left behind. And what they will become. I really hope Lucasfilm realise the potential in this type of storytelling. I'm still waiting for that Ninth Jedi series. or Village Bride. And now Journey to the Dark Head and Screecher's Reach. They have potential to be something bigger.

Some of the best Star Wars that's ever been done was done in animation (both Clone Wars shows, Rebels, Tales of the Jedi, Visions) Which is a shame, because I get the feeling most people and even most SW fans have never seen any of it. I always thought these types of series were a much better way to move SW forward and expand the franchise's possibilities more than the movies ever could. Narratively speaking and in terms of world building, of course. It's more of an artist's medium, that usually gets a lot less interference from the higher-ups. Also because there's a lot less expectation involved.

It's definitely weaker than the first season, but I have similar favorites with Journey to the Dark Head, Screecher's Reach, and The Spy Dancer. Dark Head being just a straight all-around Star wars-esque with great animation. However, it will always feel a bit rushed in the beginning with the short time they're given, but I would definitely like to see more of this one. Screecher's Reach I was unsure of, but the ending made it shoot up my list. With The Spy Dancer, I had a similar feel, but the end reveal put it in my top three for this season. But if I had to compare to Season 1. Season 1 comes out on top. But Journey to the Dark Head definitely slots in the top 3 of all Visions shorts for me, at least. Plus, the Korean aesthetic makes me a bit biased since I'm part Korean and have been there visiting family seeing all the old folk villages that Studio Mir used for inspiration. Also, don't forget to check out the behind the scenes for your favorite shorts they're pretty neat.

I thought this was a pretty interesting season. I feel like it had higher lows but also lower highs than season 1 I really liked how diverse it was, in terms of animation styles and stories it tackled. Sith (1) really played with color in interesting ways, and visually it reminded me of Into the Spiderverse. I also liked her droid. Screecher's Reach (2) was delightfully creepy, especially with its ending. British & Irish animation really isnt afraid to *'go there'*, if you will. Bandits of Golak (7) was neat for the novelty of seeing India in Star Wars, plus the cgi assets in that; I swear they used modles from Clone Wars/Rebels/Bad Batch and the Stormtroopers from Battlefront in it. I also love me some wind instruments in my Star Wars. 🪈 I also really enjoyed the stop motion in In the Stars (3) and Aua's Song (9). Aua's Song especially was a treat for the eyes. 🤩 Nice to see ATSTs getting some attention too. Spy Dancer (6) and The Pit (8) were both also really good, in different ways. Journey to the Dark Head (5) was also neat, I could easily imagine that happening during Old Republic times. I liked what they did with the Jedi's eyes in that episode, too.

So I went back and checked Visions Season 1 to see when in the SW timeline the studios placed each episode . Four episodes occurred during the time of the Empire (T0-B1, Lop, Bride, Rhapsody), two took place before Order 66 (Elder, Akakiri), two took place after Return of the Jedi (Twins, 9th Jedi), and one (Duel) was not meant to be anywhere in the normal timeline.

This is what kept me interested in modern Star wars. 6 of the 9 parts were amazing, especially The Sith, Screecher's reach and Journey to the Dark being my favorites of the batch in particular. From worse to best I would say SPOILER DONT CLICK EXPAND IF YOU DONT WANT THAT Siths: Very stylistic, the paint aspect is unique and the villain looked great. A bit of a boring plot though and more about the artistic side which doesnt mean its bad. I think the accepting light and dark and how it made the double light saber was awesome. The Spy Dancer: The plot twist was great. Wasnt a huge fan of the art style though. I did like how the expanded on the Empires tyranny and how far they go. I am your Mother: It has the Wallence and Grommit style to it for sure. Wedge being a sell out is so funny to me. This short felt more comedic which was fine. The daughters design was good, but I really was not a fan of the designs. The mini death star gave me a real chuckle though. In the Stars: First off the claymation type art style is just stunning. The intro along hooked me in with its impressive visuals. The Tie fighter design is absolutely amazing. It looks alien, like it absolutely does not belong. The use of the force at the ending was well done. It was better then Siths but its not one I would watch again. The Bandit of Golak: Really similar art style to the Clone Wars, actually kinda looked like a normal episode of the series. The kid was like, really stupid especially since she knows her powers are causing trouble. What really saved the episode was the older lady when she revealed herself as a jedi. The lightsabers are really awesome looking, also I assume the sabers activate once split, idk why people are getting so angry at it especially since Visions isnt canon. The Pit: Talk about a fucked up episode. The empire building up this city in the background with prison labor then once the pit runs dry they release them, only for them to be trapped. Really fucked premise and the death of the main character was really awful. It was a really bitter sweet moment when the follow the light thing worked. Its kinda also strange to say but I think even the Stormtroopers felt it to some extent. The commanding officer could have easily decided to mow down the people trying to help but instead he just let them go. The post credit scene was touching as well. Really good episode. Journey to the Dark Head: The Siths design and combat tactics is so awesome. The animation style is great as all of these shorts are. I like both the main characters in this one. The fight scenes are so cool as well, I really think this was one of the highlights of the series. The chemistry between all 3 characters was really great and honestly a series with the two heroes would be pretty cool. Screecher's Reach: I adore the art style and the music was really great in this one. The character designs were really great and I think I just fell in love with this short. The screechers design was brilliant, this one clearly had so much passion behind it. I think im gonna check out this studios other stuff now it was just that great. The ending was something else too. I can't even tell if it was a good or bad ending or the child. Theres so much mystery to this one. Aau's Song: Oh my god the visuals. When she looks out over the world it was so stunning. The animation and character designs are so adorable I love it. Aau's design is probably my favorite of the season shes has this adorable look to her that you can't help but love and all her little motions like her covering her mouth is so cute. The music is a real hit in this as well, which I guess if you are gonna mention song in the title it should be. Her creating a harmony with the Kyber was so visually striking. This is probably my favorite of all the episodes. Everything just clicked for me personally, and I really will be checking out this companies other works. The ending just made me so happy as well. A really amazing episode to end it off on. General thoughts: I think the seasons had more highs then lows compared to last season. The three at the top are the only ones I would say made me a bit bored, but the rest of the season was great. The last 3 I listed in particular were so great I had trouble sorting them. Aau's Song was such a surprise for me, and honestly I think this is what I want from the series. Give me something that I had no clue I wanted and make me want to recommend the show. Journey to the Dark Head was probably the most typical plot wise but it brought some absolutely stunning battle animation and great visuals overall while also being able to get me to like the main characters in just 15 minutes, thats really impressive. Screecher's Reach was just great with the story it had to tell, mixing folk lore with the sith while having you be invested in the journey. I recommend this season highly. Good job to all the studios involved.

Loved Volume 1, LOVED Volume 2! The wide variety of art styles, themes, and stories (though perhaps not story elements which did see repeats) made Volume 2 incredibly engaging. My biggest take away is that I now wish the live action Star Wars shows and films were less connected to a canon. The creativity on display in the VISIONS series seems possible largely because they aren't canon. They are as Star Wars should be (IMHO) - Myths and folklore from the bygone age of a distant galaxy.

Personally, I was incredibly bored through the whole thing. Nothing really piqued my interest. Maybe if I were able to view it from the lens of their own thing rather than with the name "Star Wars" attached, I might have liked them more. I know that's the schtick of the whole thing, is to have different cultures have their own take on Star Wars, but some of it just seemed so goofy and not lore-accurate, it might as well not have had anything to do with Star Wars. There were a few from S1 that I liked well enough, but none of the ones this season stood out to me. I liked a lot of the animation, but as far as story went, not really. But that's fine. I'm glad that Disney at least has a fun little project going. A project that's not canon, that just lets artists and creatives do their own thing and entertain people. And I'm happy if other people liked it.

Have three episodes left but so far I I'm enjoying the second season. My Scores. Episode . B+. Love the visuals and when the sith arrive the color changes. nice action scenes. Simple but fun. Episode 2. B+. Good episode. It was a bit vague which i liked. Liked the horror vibe. Episode 3. C-. Love the visuals and the first half, but the little girl was annoying. I guess its a happy ending but didn't feel earn. Episode 4. B. Fun cute lighthearted episode that for some reason I enjoyed but wouldn't watch it again. Episode 5. A. So far this one my favorite. Looks great, good characters, and I wanted more. Episode 5. D. Didn't like this episode at all. Had a few cool visual but thought it was lame. Hoping to finish the rest later today. So far. I enjoyed the first season more. I like these short story and hope they keep making them.

Of all the shorts, the second by Cartoon Saloon, one of my all time favorites animation studios in the world, Screecher's Reach, easily the best one, the story, the visuals, the animation, as usual Cartoon saloon always deliver and no exception here, loved this one, specially the chilling ending, I kinda liked that was the one that didn't have a happy ending......besides that I really didn't enjoy much of these, some where cute, some gorgeous animated, but the stories a bit too simplistic, or too.....cultural or non much star wars, but there are some I liked, the first one Sith, loved the animation and creativity, I Am Your Mother was very cute, Journey to the Dark Head by studio Mir was stunningly gorgeous love the animation and fights (eh the story was alright....points for be the only one with a MALE doing cool things XD....jezzz Disney and your female empowerment agenda, cool it off a bit), and The Spy Dancer the animation was stunning as well. But overall I will say vol1 despite be a bit inconclusive some of the stories felt more like pilots for stories, and vol 2 have more definite shorts....I still liked more vol.1, of this volume what I loved was more the animation and diversity of styles more than the stories, with the exception of Cartoon Saloon Screecher's Reach the rest lack something, gorgeous animations indeed, hope vol 3 if they do it, manage to BALANCE that, I liked this volume styles and animation, and that the stories actually conclude, but the stories of vol 1 where more provocative and interesting as a whole....a balance between those will do a perfect volume.....also have more variety of stories with female protagonist and male protagonist will be appreciate it, vol.1 did that part better, I guess because Japan is not into agendas.

Honestly you guys don’t see the bias in making every single protagonist female? This is a meta complaint to be sure, but it’s still valid. To say this isn’t KK’s doing is to be deny logic, especially given her “force is female” mantra. I don’t think it’s misogynist to say this either. I’m fine with having 50 or even 70% female protagonists. Just give us a single male lead though.

Not every protagonist in Season 2 was female. Same was true of Season 1.

Who cares? There’s like a million male protagonists in Star Wars. If it’s a good story, I can get behind it. This “more female” or “more male” thing gets stale really fast. I hate sexism against males as much as the next guy, but you’re complaining over nothing tbh.

It was really a big disappointment to me. Season 1 felt so passionate and unique and in my opinion was the best star wars disney has put out. But season 2 lost all of that. It felt hollow and corporate by comparison. The political agenda of lucasfilm was also front and center for season 2. Its no coincidence that there wasnt a SINGLE lone male protagonist and only the eastern studios even allowed a male protagonist in the first place.

@@TheVeritas1 it can be annoying but that don't make it any less true, almost every episode was centered around a strong female lead or a plot that has a badass woman who saves the day/resolves the conflict. There were only 2 episodes that weren't exactly like this all the way through. Episode 8 in which the male lead was killed and his sister rose up to save the day and got revealed as a force sensitive aswell (Because why not). The one episode that didn't have an obvious female centric plot line was episode 5 which would have fit in great with Season 1 but was noticeably different from the rest of Season 2. I liked a lot of the episodes, there were only like 2 that I felt bored of/didn't really enjoy but other than that I had a good time watching them. Still though I could notice how explicit the woman strong message was compared to Season 1. I had a ton of visions....while passed out, through this AniMatrix rip-off (I PIRATED, LIKE EVERYONE SHOULD ALWAYD DO FIRST). OH, and the AniMatrix was better, just fyi, bc it was actual LOOORE. A word Disney despises, bc they would be forced to watch/read about men... AND women, getting along, fighting, losing, winning, dying together, as EQUALS. (of course, I cannot verify ALL 20 MILLION novels and books were written, in a normal way. But all the good stuff was). I never remember thinking, hmmmm "if only Thrawn was a bi-sexual tyrannosaurs, then joining (and slaying) a rag tag bunch of Mandalorians in ritual combat, till he/she was there made their 'slay queen' Mythasaur, and rewarded with bes"... this mockery of the TRASH Disney puts out, is already better than ALL THE BILLIONS wasted. im so glad im hood rich and high, or it might upset me, lol.
