@Joyce & @Benjamin, u doing a great job! Please talk about these two topics responsibilities in marriage and finances. Have seen a number of women, nowadays, are bread-winners and at the same time got all the responsibilities upon them.....house chores, nurturing the family.....yet the hubby is just there....kula kulala, kamovie, kula kulala......

If Benj happens to open a school, you will wonder whether education is based on ages. His knowledge will benefit all ages and some will be students forever because at every stage you will need his advice. In short, he is the best African asset in that profession so far. Keep informing....we give both ears....

My siblings and I were raised by a *step-mum* (3 of us) life was unbearable, *she would pinch us on the thighs, ears and above elbow near armpits with bic lid *(kifuniko ya Biro)* or she'll just pinch and squeeze our skin inside her nails until you see the white colour inside our/my skin and blood coming out of there 😢 it was very 💔 and emotional...then she'll threaten us and tell us not to cry or..... * If my dad comes from work we will get double beating from him for what we haven't done😢 ,we didn't know if he was protecting us to avoid unnecessary problems from step mum? or he was enjoying doing it to please her.?*🤷 I personally don't have any good childhood memories, my sister and bro decided to run away coz they couldn't take it anymore and find their way to kisumu from NAIROBI to try and locate our biological mum which they did. They couldn't take me along with them coz I was the last born and they too were still young,I guess at that time I could be a burden to them... *Thank GOD we grew up*😊😘 Right now my kids who are teenage currently 14 &13, they're living with my dad but they do study in boarding school (form 1 and class 7) and I cater for everything on my on... I'll never allow my step mum to treat them as she treated us,she knows that I'm tiger who will bite for her cubs... *Now I'm a single mum of 2 teenagers,my kids means the world to me...I swear I'd kill if I have to...coz I've experienced how step parents treat kids who aren't theirs.* *In front of everyone, they will pretend to be the best....but behind that face there always darkness in everything they do and touch.* My fear right now is..... if I get a man by my side will he treat my teenage daughters as his, regarding him knowing they already have a Dad? My gate to open my heart is through my kids if they get along *"in future with the guy I'm trying to know well then I'll be at peace and know I'm DOING the right thing and on the right PATH too.* If not I've been okay being single, independent, paying my own bills so I still can manage coz I've been doing so for long instead of adding unnecessary problems in my life and can be avoidable,I'm I right?😊

Well, well, well...............deadly things are many Joyce and Benjamin. They can't be 5 alone. Situations, circumstances, customs and norms bring out several of them. So one has to indicate from which point he or she is pointing out the issues. What is good to this community is normal to the other. For instance marrying off a 12yrs old kid in Britain is wrong but a Kenyan community practicing it is inconsequential. Marrying a single mother in this country kenya is kawaida but in other countries or religious faith is taboo. For that reason then, we agree we are talking about our country kenya to be specific. 1. A father/mother sleeping with daughter/son-in-law and siring a kid with them 2. A brother sleeping with a sister and siring a child together 3. A wife living peacefully with her husband then after bringing up the best kids and successful in their personal careers the man is told none of all kids was sired by your sperm 4. A father siring a child with a side chick and later that same chick gets into a relationship with his son in the city and later they learn that the first child belongs to the father-in-law 5. A man getting into a side relationship, gets a child with that chick and later discover that that same woman is his biological daughter he sired with a girlfriend and gave her money to abort but she refused and successfully delivered but the sperm donor has never seen the kid. 6. A father molesting his own biological kid and threatens her to death if she ever mentions. 7. Mother in law coming to live with her daughter at the latter's matrimonial home then become a co-wife with the daughter, later she gets pregnant by the same man that is married to the daughter so both of them gets children from the same husband cum son-in-law. 8. A wife living with brother in-laws and sleeping with them interchangeably with husband then gets pregnant but doesn't know who between the brothers impregnated her. She ends up getting mixed children from both brothers. 9. A single mother getting engaged by a man that she never told she has a kid and that guy passionately talks ill of single moms and bustard kids. She then decides to eliminates that innocent child in order not to lose the good guy. 10. When a man gets employed by wealthy aged parents to take care of them and they do everything for him. In their will they indicate that when they die, the wealth should go to the man. They keep living healthy and he gets restless and decides to end their lives so that he takes possession of all the wealth in a hurry. 11. A lady is engaged to Mom's boy and the Mother to the only son is that narcissistic type. She had invested heavily but for some reason she hates this girlfriend to her son. They then scheme to eliminate her so that they marry and take possession of the vast estate she build.. Sins of passion and love are many in fact. Because, it is by the same sins that relationships or marriages break. Some of them are top secrets that are never told till parties go to the grave. Due to many challenges and changing times to so called modernity, many ills/sins are committed to validate or invalidate personal interests. It is selfish interests that drive circumstances to be what the ebd results become. So, it is hard to single out just 5 sins out of 40 million inhabitants of kenyan Republic or billions of population across the world

Five Deadly Sins in A Relationship 1. A partner that is abusive to children in the relationship. Children must come first. 2. Not being financially independent at all by being totally dependent on a spouse makes you vulnerable. 3. Not taking parenthood seriously. 4. Sexual perversion. Do not be reduced to being a thing due to low self-esteem to please a partner in a sexual relationship with a partner. Maintain a connection with your children and communicate with them to be aware of any sexual abuse of children in your home. 5. Disrespect.

I don’t agree 💯 I almost lost my last born daughter because of neglect by Housegirl we are not helping stay at home Mums by judging them. And that statement of what if the husband dies is neither here nor there we have seen cases where two parents died the same day, if you are a stay at home mum be encouraged I have taken care of my children till they were of age and now am facing my life I don’t regret any bit of staying home to take care of my children.

@@lucynjogu9039 I may have gotten him wrong, but I think he meant even if you stay at home, have some source of income however little, like you say you crotchet, which is amazing, because some stay at home mums (not all) are rendered vulnerable because of depending on one person and if that income is cut short the mum still suffers. I think this point really makes sense to a single mother who knows how scary it is not to have a source of income when you have dependants

Hi Benjamin, I started dating a the age of 27 and have been with the same person for 3 years. Im turning 30 and he is not financially ready to marry me. We've been living together and I decided to move out since it was against my principles to stay together. I've incurred heavy debt in the relationship due to money loaned and invested in trading and keeping up with the bills since my partner hasn't been employed for a year. I only moved out when he got the job but then he threw so many tantrums because of me leaving. I don't know what to do

Use common sense. After 13 years and 2 children what is the incentive for getting married. Realistically you're trapped and you're now a servant not the master in the relationship because you can't and wouldn't leave now.

@Ndirangu I don't agree with your position about marriage. If he does what married people do (e.g. having children), he should go ahead to marry the lady to give legitimacy to their situation. But you're correct about no guarantee of happiness. True happiness is only guaranteed in Jesus Christ. Are you aware that Jesus Christ loves you very much and deeply cares about you and you need Him? Give Jesus a chance to love you unconditionally as your Lord and personal Saviour.
