I think I realized why Neco Arc and Plankton make some of the best AI covers. The characters yell a lot, which makes the part of the music where they put more power into their voice sound passionate; most other characters don't yell enough, so the AI voice starts sounding fake at those parts. I think characters that yell a lot may just sound better in most songs. ... I wonder if Invader Zim, as weird as that would be, might actually sound really good doing AI voice music...
