Somebody That I Used to Know: Arthur and Morgana

I agree with every word of your rant; it describes my feelings exactly. The writers really dropped the ball with Arthur's and Morgana's relationship. In Season 1, they bickered a lot and they teased each other a lot, but at the end of the day they cared about each other and they didn't want to see any harm come to the other. The writers should have given Arthur and Morgana are more complex relationship, a more of a love/hate relationship (if done right, I just love those types of relationships). I found it sad that out of all of Morgana's former friends, only Arthur seemed to remember how Morgana used to be; only Arthur questioned how Morgana became the way that she was; only Arthur seemed to want to understand Morgana's motivations. My own rant aside, I absolutely loved your video. The song choice was perfect, as Arthur did wonder how Morgana went from the loving and caring person that he used to know to the person that was so twisted and sadistic. You did a wonderful job matching the lyrics to the clips. Both the song and the video was tragic, which is perfect for Arthur's and Morgana's tragic relationship. Like the song described, Arthur's and Morgana's relationship started off so beautiful, only to turn ugly in the end. You did an excellent job with this video.

First off, I always love getting your comments on my Morgana related videos. They're always amazing, wonderful, and insightful. I can't thank you enough for leaving them. I agree completely. I would have loved a complex love/hate relationship between the two because it's what they should have had. It would have made complete and utter sense. I really get frustrated about it sometimes. It is odd that only Arthur seemed to remember how Morgana used to be and questioned what happened to her. Not even Gwen, who was her maidservant and often comforted Morgana after her night terrors, did any of that (that I remember anyway). I've really wanted to vid this song for awhile, as well as Morgana and Arthur's relationship, and one day I was listening to the song when it hit me. Then this video happened, so I'm glad you love the song choice :) as well as the video. Thanks you again for you amazing comment.

I love the original, but this one really speaks to me for some reason. It's just so sad and I think it's fits them. I wish their relationship had had a different ending. Thank you :) and yep. I will always love Morgana more than any of the other characters. Merlin in the series was a weak minded fool who betrayed Morgana all because of a dragon and another warlock working for the king Uther Pendragon. This is why they worn Witches not to trust them Warlocks... I mean for the Goddesses sake it's in the name... War + Lock= A person man or woman who betrays, kills, and imprisons those who have natural talent for the magical arts. They use their magick on the daily for their foolishness, personal gain, and power to rule over Kingdoms with blood and turmoil. Morgana was a Witch until they betrayed her and tried to literally poison and kill her more then once. They turned her into a damn Sorceress who didn't care for anyone but magical people, and even then she still only did things for herself. Poor Morgana 😢😭

Under the right conditions she could have made the best queen..better than Arthur...who seem to disagree..have to understand..arthur always had someone who would guide him..who would go to any extent to protect him..he grew up in the most perfect condition..he was kind..a very good person..but..he didn't have the capability of right judgement..he was always..I am gonna first fight type..without Merlin.. he would have died long ago..Morgana on the other hand..was very kind...and was far more intelligent than arthur & repeatedly convinced Arthur to do what is right...she guided arthur from the first...whereas, she didn't have anyone who could understand or in a way protect her from what was going on inside her..she fiercely protected the ones she cared about..she really cared about Arthur...but alas everyone around them..ruined their beautiful relationship...yes..maybe Morgana had a chance to change..but..she knew she was on a downward spiral..with no one by her side..
