This is soooo early, when they were self-promoting after the record contract they'd won on The Sing-Off fell through. This is less than 6 months after the end of the show. I believe there's like almost no post-production on this. Their raw emotionality is killer. ETA: I'd say Daft Punk Medley is next. It was a huge KZbin breakthrough and won them their first Grammy.

The arranger of this is Ben Bram, who met Gotye in a club in LA. Gotye said his dad found the cover on KZbin and pointed it out to him and they both loved it.

This was their first viral video, and it was another self-financed production with Fifgen Films, because their label at the time had no budget or staff for video production. (Madison Gate had two part-time employees, and the label existed to release movie soundtracks. They weren't able to effectively promote the band.)

For a really good live video try their Popspring 2016 performance. It was filmed by MTV, so it's good quality. They do three of their original songs, plus their Evolution of Michael Jackson, which is awesome! Give it a go!

Hallelujah....you need to see it, and "Blinding Lights" by the Weekend. Also Billie Eilishes, probably spelled that wrong "When the Parties Over ". Another is "Amazing Grace"...their catalog is so vast they have been putting music out for the last 10 years.

Couple of things to note: If the video is prior to 2018, the bass will be Avi Kaplan (the bearded fellow); after Christmas of 2017/early 2018, the bass will be Matt Sallee (baby-faced black man). Two different sounds, but both incredible. The other four members (Kevin-beat boxer; Kirstie, Scott (tall blond) and Mitch (counter-tenor) haven't changed. Their looks change over the years (especially Kirstie and Mitch). You can never tell what color their hair will be, or what they'll be wearing. One thing though, if you're going to react to a cover and you haven't heard the original, please listen to it first so you can see how they interpret it. This is especially true for their cover of Kiiara's "GOLD". Her original is all synthesizer and they do it row sitting in a circle.

They're the Harry Mack of acapella! 🐐. Check their maclemore cover. The two guys have a offshoot called superfruit that has some covers with bars and some funny stuff. They have great original stuff with a few bars thrown in. There is some other good groups out there but it's like comparing Hmack to anyone else. They are on a different level. I love acapella like you dig hip-hop and I'm telling you they are different. Check out their spring pop concert has 3 tunes 2 that are original and a MJ Medley. Also their original Sing was Thursday night football theme song a couple years.

If you haven't reacted to "Gold" by Kiara you definitely should! Kinda raw - a little more processed than this but still pretty raw. But listen to Kiara first. I don't really like hers because she uses so many electronic modulations to make her sounds. But PTX, especially Mitch, do all those sounds with their voices and it's, as you say, "a banger"! 💞
