Yes, great acting from Margaret Hamilton who clearly didn't tone down the performance from her original appearance. Though it might've been too much for Sesame Street at the time 😅

I agree the visuals when the witch grabs her broom is quite Jarring would've probably freaked me out too when I was little I wish that the episode was revealed under better circumstances then getting leaked from the Children's Television Workshop archives without permission I am glad we get to see it as Margaret Hamilton and Northern Calloway do a wonderful job

Indeed, yes it does make one wonder if they would've ever officially released it otherwise. I believe there was some legal difficulties, so as unfortunate as it is - this may be the only way we could've seen the full episode.

I had no idea seaseme street did a episode based off of wizard of oz way back then. But I guess it make sense to do in a fun engaging way. If i would've witnessed that episode of a kid if I was around back then to see it oringally aired. It probably would've made me feel sorry for the wicked witch back then.
