By making something a time paradox, you ensure that none of the decisions any of the characters make are gonna matter at all to the plot, because no matter what, the outcome would be the same, which removes all character agency and any sense that what you're watching has any meaning. It's like the twists of "It was all a dream." It's shitty, because nothing you saw ended up mattering, and your time has been wasted.

But AoT wasn't a dream, it was a paradox, which still makes my previous points stand. When you reveal that everything in your story was predetermined because it was all a paradox, like i mentioned before, all characters lose their agency and everything that has happened previously is just for nothing. How so? Because no matter what any character would've done differently, the outcome would be the same, which takes away the risk element of the story, which i'd say is pretty important to a show like AoT, where high stakes are the norm.

Guys, it isn't a time paradox. Eren himself isn't travelling back in time. "The Attack Titan can see the memories of its future inheritors" all this means is the future was already set in stone since the founder Ymir, which is why the first episode is called: "To you, 2000 years from now" If we stop thinking of time as linear and start thinking of the past,present and future "all happening at once", we should be able to understand it better. Also if you found out today your future is determined(in our world), would this mean any action you have taken till this very moment doesn't matter? For example, as mortal beings one day we will die. Is life meaningless just because we die? You could interpret death of living beings as some sort of predetermined fate, would you say then anything you do in your lifetime has no weight because at the end of the day you will die?

Great video, for the last part where Eren and Armin were together, it may have been satire but you asked if that was a heaven of some sort. I think that was because Eren visted Armin prior to the rumbling and kept erasing his memory using the Founding Titans power. When Eren died, Armin remembered their conversations as Eren was dead and could not maintain the memory wipe. Eren was telling him what he was going to do as he had knowledge of the future. He visited Mikasa last because her blood would make it so her memory could not be cleared. What's confusing to me is why he could use the founding titan to access the colossal even after Zeke died. Perhaps he was still in contact with Zekes body or some way through the paths as Eren was alive in the paths even if his physical being was not.
