Frankie seems like a decent sort. A thing about section 8 vouchers, they can be transferred. What I mean is. It is easier to get a section 8 voucher in some places over others (very easy for me to get mine here where I currently live.) Frankie could get his voucher some place else, clean his head out and get his body right during the first year long lease then transfer the voucher to a place in Tucson. Property owners can hesitate when renting to previously/currently homeless people. If Frankie came with a bit of a good section 8 rental track record to present to a Tucson landlord he just may get a section 8 place in Tucson. Gotta follow the rules with section 8 housing. Can't be letting people move in that are not on the lease. Section 8 does allow (with owner approval) having someone like a home health aide move in. I am trying to get one girl that I know there in Tucson come and do this (get her own place in my building) then transfer her voucher to Tucson. I do want to keep helping but I also must not allow the people I associate with to affect my housing security. This is something I allowed to happen there in Tucson with Zach and my city owned apartment.
