Just want to add background checks ARE standard for anyone getting a security clearance. amd you have to reapply to get another one done every 10 years or so if you want to keep it. The whole Michigan gov plot thing was actually pretty wild, because it was later found that one or two of those dudes were actually 100% not even involved and were pointed at by the feds/informant just so they could get good boy points. The extent of their evidence was literally basically "Well, they went on a ride with me once and like guns" or something like that. I also noticed that wording for that guy. "Appears to be classified." Weird, because if it was classified, they would say it in a heartbeat. They wouldn't have to put any other qualifiers in it. I get the feeling that the accusation of one of the two things that the accused did stinks to high heaven on this one. And the sad part is, we will likely never know which.

In other words, if the President declassifies something, you don't automatically get to send it out, you have to wait for the government to publish declassified documents with any still-sensitive information removed as well as the classification markers. Something everybody should remember: The largest distributor of CSAM is the US government, and the fun part is... we always take at face value that "oh lookie we found this stuff on his account" Of course they're not going to show proof, or have receipts to make it clear that it wasn't planted after they seized his machine. And his story seems exactly like the situation where the CIA/NSA would resort to this tactic, we have inconclusive evidence of him leaking classified documents, but not enough of a guarantee for those charges to stick the landing, so we pump some CSAI onto his account after we seize it, show it to a jury or judge and get the man thrown in Jail where he will probably be killed by the inmates before he can spread the story that he was set up. We know about the honey pot virus the CIA has that has you download a massive collection of this material from THEIR OWN servers. So no, I don't take at face value the allegations, it's just that a majority of convictions for this material seem to follow the same pattern, they suspect somebody of doing something, seize their shit, find little to no evidence of the thing they were looking for, but for some reason find a massive haul of the one thing that is a crime just to have in your possession. Since the material is so "sensitive" we don't really get much in the way of proof that it wasn't planted evidence, nobody questions it, they get thrown in jail and subsequently murdered by other prisoners before he can really speak out on what actually happened.

they have it on their servers because it's used to auto delete videos posted on websites that are complicit with law enforcement upload video that has content matching a video in the database > video auto deleted and so is your account also they have a database so they can actually locate the victims in the videos, it's used for facial recognition and also to provide info to agencies like ncmec to help match the kids in the videos to actual missing persons reports and provide their possible whereabouts

@@Taczy2023 what espionage charges? The image only "appeared" to be classified, and they were only able to "assume" that he acquired it through his security clearance. Those aren't charges, those are circumstantial evidence at best, or absolutely nothing. But like seriously, if you knew you had CSAM images in your discord would you consent to a search? I'm just saying that the MO follows a very common pattern, they don't have charges against him that they think will stick so they plant CSAM and execute him The government doesn't care about protecting children, the way the law works none of the victims in the video or images can even use those as evidence against their molester. The law does more to protect the perpetrators than the victims, and with most of Jeff's clients being the elite and politicians you can see why the law is built the way it is, it's illegal to have evidence of CSA (especially against politicians and the super rich) and nobody questions it. I'm pointing out that while the potential for this guy to be a creep exists, we have caught government agencies planting this evidence with this motive in the past, and it matches the usual procedure almost perfectly.
