She really just does her own thing, Jennifer. Her eyes are going a bit, and what you don’t see is me stopping every few seconds to let her catch up. There’s SO MUCH of this happening and I think that the rise of Ai is a big part of the problem. The people that have the channels that use stolen content probably just have to ask whichever Ai software they use to reword the script. I’ve found this on several, actually quite a lot, of people that I follow. I’ll see a video and think it’s their’s but when I look at it the pictures are all generic, they’re also Ai generated and the voiceover is so similar to the one on primal’s videos. There’s a whole host of these types of channels and, imo, KZbin (Google) should be enacting policies or writing algorithms that protect the original content creators. Now, I’ll admit I’m no techie so I have no idea if that is possible, how would they know who the original content creators is. However, it seems to me they’re able to manipulate many things, unsubscribing people from channels they’ve followed, banning people or channels, demonetising etc so SURELY they can figure out a way to manage this “new” problem. For example, IF they demonetised these channels I think you could almost guarantee the stealing would stop, given that it’s ALL. ABOUT. THE. MONEY. I wish viewers could report this kind of stuff as well as the channel owners. I come across SO MUCH of this happening and it does make me angry. Not just for the person who’s comment is stolen but for all the people who get duped into watching them.

😢That is one thing that really is aggravation for me these days on KZbin. And it seems like a epidemic! It seems more than half of what I try to watch on KZbin is now STOLEN videos, and if you don't look at the name posting it, alot of the time you don't know until the very end of the video. When someone is speaking in a foreign language, or crocheting, cooking, or other very short something. And they will have like 250 k subscribers 😮 Some that are STOLEN, are even very large news programs, like fox News, big programs, especially during the US election. I've reported several, but maybe KZbin controllers, do not even watch the videos to the very end? You are right, they are making, A LOT, of money and some how, it needs to be STOPPED! Some times I'll have a video on in the back ground on my phone, when I'm doing stuff, and suddenly there is some foreign language and hands crocheting a snowflake. I find it disturbing enough to just shut it off. Sorry to hear that even the small channels are not safe, from the thieves 😢

Nigel, I think I have come across this before (just checked it out). It's really grotty and my hackles went up pretty quickly then as now because I can't stand AI in any shape or form. I won't watch any of the classic Russian novels that are up on YT because they are AI which really annoys me! Personally I think you should report them to KZbin because there are probably many more like me who might be put off your channel and wisdom without really checking you out, though having seen and heard you first I feel safe 😊

Technology is getting to the point where it's hard to discern the difference between what's real and not real. I've had original recordings of the late great philosopher Alan watts for years. I've seen a lot of Alan Watts videos recently that sound very much like him but it's not. Some of the things that the AI generated Alan Watts says totally change the meaning and context of what he was teaching. History is being changed before our very eyes. Maybe I'm just a redundant old bloke but there's a whole generation that will not only be miss informed, but totally reliant on AI. Musicians and artists will become obsolete. This concerns me in terms of my grandchildrens future. But like you, I get out into nature every morning with my dog and appreciate the real simple life here in beautiful Wollondilli NSW and look forward to my next trip to Bali in a few months, and back to the North of England next November...love your videos my Lancastrian friend.

In every generation technology comes along and steals our ideas. I think of the Luddites who resented the new weaving machines putting them out of a job. My mother was a burler & mender in the mill, and foreign cheap imports came along and closed the mills down. I was a piano tuner for 35 years, and digital pianos came along that didn't need tuning, and electronic tuning devices got more and more sophisticated so that people who tuned by ear were becoming dinosaurs. Now it's AI. The music industry and literary industry are being effected already, and it hasn't got going yet. It's impossible to know how we shall all be effected by this new phenomenon, it's hit you my friend, and I am sorry about that, but they will never be able to steal your personality, and in that sense you and I are undefeated.

Great sentiments. I grew up in a northwest cotton town, and witnessed the demise. My first job was as an apprentice lithographer in a print works. Along came the internet. Watch many young people on KZbin witnessing music from the 70s. They wonder why music like that isn’t produced any more. Seems progress isn’t necessarily progress.

I didn't watch all of the other video, as it was obviously yours. However, I did leave a comment... not that it'll make any difference. Sadly, it happens all the time. I used to watch a lot of tarot readers, until I realised many of them were being stolen by unscrupulous channels. Often they don't show the original video, the dealing of the cards etc. It's just a card spread laid out as a background, with the original voice. The use of a flickering candle as part of the background, gives the illusion that it's real.

A strategy to try and stop these videos coming up in your feeds is to hit the three dots and ask youtube not to show this channel again. If enough people do that the algorithm will stop suggesting the video

Good point. KZbin has a great function for comments. If someone comes on the channel looking for trouble I just leave a comment to wind them up, then hit the three dots and choose ‘hide user from the channel.’ They are then hidden, but they don’t know it. I don’t see them, but they can go on ranting into the void. Everyone’s happy, including them.

Dear Nigel, please report that thief as much as you can, but also don't worry about your own channel losing anything due to that theft. Only your channel is authentic and original and attracts people because you stay true to your content, your personality shines through the way you make and post videos, the way you handle the comment section, the thumbnails you use, the channel description ... A KZbin channel that is made just to press as much money out of it as possible will never prevail in the long term while posting videos about living a simple life, giving up on sacrificing your soul for the money and criticising the consumerism. My feelings about AI are uncertain, it can be a marvelous tool, or it can be a means to bring about our extinction. We have fallen very short, of the wise and judicious use of the intelligence we were originally granted, so my faith in any artificial form is sorely limited. I can report the video, but it really doesn’t infringe stringent copyright law. It has been altered so that only the storyline remains. It is just lazy and disingenuous. I’ve been uploading for 8 years and podcasting for 9 years before that. Content creators are called creators because they create. I think it just devalues KZbin.

You are right, Marian. This is but a blip in my normal peace. I can’t even get angry about it. The only irritant is the knowledge that every video I make could turn up as AI content making some lazy, disingenuous grifter a lot of money.
