Great job. Like those blinds, if I was still in my own home and not this one that belongs to my deceased husbands kids I would love to have them for the porch I have. I would sit out there and drink coffee,read the Sunday newspaper and just enjoy the day. As I live in the city the houses are close by and there is more traffic. Now that I am not able to get out much in even this house I sit in the living room and watch the traffic go by on the street I live on. Both of you enjoy your life as much as possible, especially since you are young. You never know when things can take a turn for something different.👍🌈😊

I had one of those air conditioners, with the large tray I had to pull out and empty when it was full of water, and I had to empty it every hour to hour and a half. It had a hard time keeping my bedroom cool. You are definitely blessed to only need to empty it every day or two.

Might look at reinstalling the blinds to the inside of the porch . It will protect the hardware as well as make it easier to roll them up and down. I have 2 of the exact same blinds and I’m glad I reinstalled mine to the inside.

Most blinds mount on the backside with hardware on the inside not on the outside. My husband and I installed these types for over 40 years (we had a business where we did draperies and blinds installations) and pretty sure you should mount those on the backside of that beam. the hardware should be towards the house not on the outside of the house, the blinds should unroll behind the railings not in front of them....... Whichever works for you just an observation. But I think you've installed them incorrectly.
