Yes car/ trucks are expensive we bought a new truck luckily we got the price locked in had to wait a year because of the chips cost of the 2023 Chevy 2500 $48,000 if we waited the cost for the same truck is now $60,000. Amazing a few years ago the cost of this same make and model was $25,000-30,000. Question: how is the house build coming along? Blessings to you all. 😊🇺🇲

Bert isn't your Dad's new car under any kind of warranty? Here in the UK you get 3 months standard for any major problems. Hope it gets sorted. Hoping Spring comes soon for you guys. I couldn't cope with all the snow for so long. Well done Evelynn on your gymnastics...total natural x

Here in the US...new cars come with at least a 3 year warranty. Some makes have even longer warranties. His dad's car is not new, it's used. Bert called it his "new", old car. Some used car dealers have a 3-6 month warranty, but not all of them do that. Especially if the used car has really high mileage on it...which is probably the case here.

I have owned Mercedes a few times and there are always certain years to not get based on model. Also I could see the smoke in the camera Bert, when you shut the door...coming from the wheel. It was either bouncing around a lot during shipping or maybe the air in the suspension was not acclimated from AZ to Alaska temperature. I hope they can get it repaired soon. Also, in the past I have been lucky enough to find a mechanic that allowed me to buy my own parts and he would simply do the installation- but no warranty on the said part. My lil pro tip there as I am poor and can't afford thousands of dollars in repairs ever. Best of luck to your parents with that suv.

I would have taken the car right back to where you were at and have it fixed unless he bought it as is. Olivia is growing so fast. Your father is wise to buy used in Arizona. In 2009 we got a used 2006 Denali SUV with 60K on it for $15K Excellent condition it now has 200K and works well. It too has air ride suspension. It has a slow leak in it over a few days. You can replace the air system with springs for less than replacing the air system. Like the snow. Do you expect flooding this spring?

Even here in NW MT (I am 30 min from Glacier National Park) the fellas I take our Subaru and our Suburban to for oil changes/heating/cooling etc winterize our vehicles to -60. Although it's never gotten quite that cold here as far as I know it often gets -30 for few days here and there and when you add in wind chills it'll clock in at 40-50 below at times in the winter. Hope Grandma isn't TOO upset with Grandpa, I mean you fellas only drove the car about 20 feet before it happened! Rotten Luck. Way to go Evelyn!!! Love from Montana

Our 2013 Kia Sorento has 350000 miles on it. It’s on engine #2. Kia replaced it for free when there was a recall at 99000 miles. Hubby is wanting and BMW SUV. We’re just saving for it now.

We have a GL 550. While driving on the highway the air suspension went on one side...made the same noises. The hissing...and you can tell the lift height change over the tire from one side to the other. Easy but annoying fix...and unfortunately a common problem in the large Mercedes SUV's. Hope he enjoys it. A good truck overall.

Yes it’s Spring! But winter is never over in April. This week we are 80’s, windows open, ceiling fan on. Next Monday 40’s with snow/rain. That’s normal for N Michigan 🤷🏻‍♀️

Getting your vehicles to Alaska safely was once very expensive and then you have to winterize it and get it prepared for the upcoming winter can also cost a small fortune. You also have to plan on spending a lot of money on new windshields every few years based on road conditions, as you would go to windshields rather quickly. I love your opening montage, Jessica; snow, snow, and more snow. Remember where you’re at.😂

The roads sound like us here in ND. Plus I drive 60 miles one way to get to a large city so I can get groceries and go for doctor appointments, etc. We put some major miles on our vehicles very quickly.
