Noticed people are talking about the map not working. Downgrade SRB2 if possible, the latest build seems to have changed up some stuff. If you're on latest, you'll get an error about something not working at 900 and the map won't play as it should.

Various community-made levels in Sonic Robo Blast 2 happen to play in a 2D fashion, and often very well too. Some of the more usual 3D levels switch to a 2D perspective on the fly, often to let you do neat things such as switching between the foreground and background areas, or to let you see neat things. Or just, y'know, 2D platforming.

Sadly I'm unsure. If it helps any, try loading it with no other addons first. If the issue persists, maybe try re-downloading the map pack. If all else fails, I suppose be sure SRB2 is updated?

Within SRB2's folders there is an "addons" folder. If there is none, you can create it. Place your mods (pk3 or wad files usually) within that folder, and you should be able to use them from the main menu.

If you are on keyboard, use A or D to move left or right respectively. In some odd cases, I am aware that a different camera setting can possibly mess with some things in a map. Some particular maps or addons can require certain camera/control settings to work right or else things break (There's an old TRON based addon that has this issue) If you tried to set up a controller, you may have to make sure thumbstick axis are set up properly too, it may take some time and a buncha trial-and-error to find the right whatchamacallits. but it's worth the smoother movement in the end. If it's an issue of the map not playing in 2D, you may have to reload the map somehow, or see if none of your addons are overriding the 2D style of the level somehow. if nothing else, perhaps it could be an issue that needs to be told to the map's creator, who is not me btw.

hi, its me from a year later, i have no idea why the fuck i said this. Normally i dislike the 2d classic sonic games (your reaction is valid), so i think i said this before i modded the shit out of SRB2 to make it playable to my taste. yknow like better camera controls n anglestand n junk. Base SRB2 is just incredibly obnoxious to play for me otherwise, and i think i would prefer to play it in this 2d mode over being forced to play vanilla again lmao
