Very nice! I'm solo electric this weekend so have combined the parts. We have great piano and key players so they will help fill the song. How are you recording the audio and video? I am Helix and record tracks to logic and have a good camera but have never tried to do what your doing...lazy lol! BTW, your sound is great, Kemper, Helix or? Great song, very much my style of playing. We stream McDowell.church 9:15 and 10:45 if your interested. Thanks brother!
@JoeMcDaniel6 жыл бұрын
Awesome. I use a Kemper, and I record into Audacity and just use my phone (Galaxy S8) to record video. This song is really fun!

I have the same Gretsch in gold. Been thinking of upgrading a few things. Is that a B7 or B70? Is it better than the B50?
@JoeMcDaniel6 жыл бұрын
That is a B70, I put it on there only for looks. It functions the same and just as well as the B50.
@danielelamworshipguitar6 жыл бұрын
Joe McDaniel it looks better nonetheless! Two more questions if you don’t mind...did you have to drill new holes in the top for the B70? And, what pickups did you change to? I bought some used HS Filter’trons from a Duo Jet but haven’t installed them yet. Just curious what you put in yours and how you like them. Oh, and did you upgrade electronics too?
@JoeMcDaniel6 жыл бұрын
Thanks! The holes didn't line up well. I ended up having the flip the hinge around by the strap button to get it fit. I recommend making measurements first, haha. As for the pickups, they are still the blacktop filtertrons that came with the guitar. I only changed the pickup covers. I also haven't upgraded any electronics yet. However, it took a fall off a stand last week and the pickup selector broke off, so now I'll be replacing that.

When do you turn on the blue compare to ohm? Is the blue the always on type pedal for this song?
@JoeMcDaniel2 жыл бұрын
It's been a while so I'm not sure if this is exactly what I did, but I always used them the same way. I always used the Blue for the bigger lead lines or heavier rhythm parts
@aaronsanchez932 жыл бұрын
@@JoeMcDaniel Aw makes sense I just got one and used it for a always on. But I’m getting a protein so I’ll probably use it the same way you did it here then

Dude, that sounds awesome!!!! How did you get the tabs?
@JoeMcDaniel5 жыл бұрын
Thanks man! I dont use any tabs, I learn by ear. I use RehearsalMix from Multitracks.com to hear the isolated guitars and learn from there.

Your Em chord is an E major not a minor.
@JoeMcDaniel3 жыл бұрын
It looks like I am playing an Em there, but I'm actually muting the G string so it's neither minor or major technically. I like to do that to get a little bit less muddier E chord
