the problem is we know the creation story is just mythology with a 6300 year old universe. there was no Adam or Eve, no fall of man or original sin which means no need for a savior. Jesus was just a man who they made into a myth.

@themindset-yj3hp We know the earth is not 6300 years old(following the family lines of Jesus to Adam), we know a large meteor hit the earth millions of years ago killing most of the life on the planet(Not in the bible), We know there was no flood 4300 years ago (several civilizations recorded history during that time including the Egyptians). Everything we can prove about earth and human history shows the creation, Noah's flood, tower of babel, and the entirr exodus story is not true. You would have to deny known history to believe in the bible that has no evidence

@@defenestratefalsehoodsyou can say you don’t believe it and that’s fine and dandy but you can’t say “we know it’s mythology” because that’s just nonsense. No one alive on earth today was around to witness the beginning of everything, so no one knows what happened. People just have different beliefs, whether it be the story of creation passed down through generations and written in the Bible, the theory that nothing exploded into everything and life evolved from nothing, or whatever else anyone may believe. The problem with Atheists is when you do show them how they can receive that evidence they reject the method that will give them what they claim they want. Christians been saying it for thousands of years. Some explain it better than others but the fact is Jesus laid out what it takes to know God.We are not talking about blind faith and hoping He is real but rather encountering Him, experience icing Him, hearing Him, knowing Him. If people refuse to accept that then they will be forever ignorant. Atheists have settled on the scientific method to answer every question about our existence and that is where they fail. They are studying the effect rather than seeking the cause. Until they change their perspective this debate will go on indefinitely. Atheist's really dont want to know if God exists. Some of them sure but the vast majority have no desire.

@wheatandtares-xk4lp
@wheatandtares-xk4lp 6 ай бұрын
@@robertnagel9894 the vast majority of our knowledge is not dependent on bare logic in the form of syllogism The uncaused cause is necessary because observations like the second law of thermodynamics and expansion of the universe show us that the universe does not have an eternal past. Because spacetime is dependent upon the universe, we conclude time had a beginning. In order for time to begin, something outside of time must have started it. Things outside of time cant be caused, because the concept of causation requires time to occur. Therefore an uncaused thing created time, and from time's perspective, that was the first cause.

God blessed me with a wonderful, wise mother. When I was very young my mom tried to explain Jesus, Heaven and God to me. I asked her who created God and she told me, " oh honey, He just is!" I accepted it with zero questions. I guess that is what faith is. After my mom passed from Alzheimers, the Lord gave us an amazing supernatural sign, in my opinion that she was alive and happy with Him. A cell battery greeting card she received 4 years prior to her death and had sat forgotten in a basket with other cards, untouched, started playing it's song the day she passed and her family was gathered together. It never stopped A couple of my siblings took turns taking the card home with them and were witness that it kept playing. It was still playing 5 days later when we buried her. We put the card in the casket and even with the casket lid sealed we could still hear it. To me, that was a reaffirmation my mom was more alive than what she had been in many years. There's a lot of people who simply just don't get it, yet these are the ones who claim to be intellectuals. God is NOT a created being, HE CREATED and much of humanity has extreme difficulty wrapping our finite minds around this concept. There is an infinite God and we will be held accountable for what we've done on this earth, and some of us just don't want to admit it, therefore we suppress the truth. Many atheist say, I don't believe in God and interestingly enough God doesn't believe in you either because His Word says, "For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse." Romans 1:20 Play games all you want but during your Judgement you'll find out that you PLAYED Yourself.

The universe had a beginning, the universe is decaying, the universe will end. God is outside of the universe in which he created. Heck you can think of it like a simulation if it makes it easier for you. Is the programmer inside of the computer parts? Nope. Does the time of the computer effect the programmer? Nope. One of the hardest things to come to grips with is that the Universe is not all there is; that there is also God, who is the eternal 'is'. Most people have difficulty conceiving of God as being external to the universe and self-existent, and think of God as being contained by space-time. Yet the God who is uncontained by anything shows in the days of creation that he is directly active and present in the historical world he has made for us to know him in.

Yes most religions ARE mythologies, The Norse Gods, The Greek Gods, the Egyptian gods and so many more all had a Beginning with their myths and they are ALL LIMITED. They aren't gods if they are limited to certain powers and NOT by their own self. But by man made limits. Yet God and Jesus are the ONLY ONES that shows to be eternal AND unlimited. All other religions SOMEHOW connect to the bible even if the Greek Gods are estimated to be 3000 and 1000 B.C, Norse 1100 A.D, 2700- 2200 B.C.E Egyptian gods, Quran 609 - 632 A.D. Yet let's take those for now to compare it to the bible. They all have ONE god that rules/birthed the other. The Greeks, Zeus rules the 12 other gods now we can theorize and say that could be warning to Romans of who was to come in front of them. Jesus and the 12 deciples. The Norse, Odin ruled the other gods and there were 12 realms. Another one for Norse the trinity Odin, Vile and Ve and most likely because they stole from churches and more at the time period. Egyptian myths Amon or Amen is the Egyptian KING of gods. The Quran Allah is God but again it was man made and HANDPICKED to be written. The bible is HISTORICAL DOCUMENTS OF HUMAN EYEWITNESSES of a documented crucifixion that were OFTEN NEVER DOCUMENTED. Unless discussed by rulers due to their name and actions in their eyes like Tacitus breifly discusing the execution by Ponitus Pilate written around A.D. 116 while the New testament Mathew 80-90 C.E. Mark 68-73 C.E., Luke 80-90 C.E. , John 90-110, Acts 80-90, Romans 57-59, 1 Corinthians 53-57, 2 Corinthians 55-58 and I can keep going. While Old testament like the Torah (Gensis, Exodus, Leviticus, and numbers) is estimated to be around 250- 300 B.C.E. The bible is the only one that speaks of life experiences, they can't unsee or hear that often goes against their own sinful actions than just entertaining stories that man made from their sinful nature to fit their actions and experiences.

Yes, most religions ARE mythologies. However you need to understand this, all other religions their god is LIMTIED and are MAN MADE limited. Yet God and Jesus are the ONLY ones unlimited and only limited by their own hand. As well as the other religions all somehow connect to the bible one way or another even WITH THE TIME PERIODS. We need to keep searching than ruling Christianity out. Why is it all other religions point to Jesus being one of the ways but Jesus and God are the only ones who point to themselves as the only way? Let's talk about the Greek Gods, The Norse Gods, The Quran and The Egyptian gods for example. The Greek Gods The Greek Gods let's break it down they have a kingdom in Mount Olypmis. Zeus is the KING of the 12 gods in that kingdom. Lets first theorize that this COULDVE been a warning to Romans of who was to come but they played around with it to fit their life styles better in the time. Now Greek Myths were estimated to be created around 3000 to 1000 B.C. The Norse Gods had one all wise ruler Odin. The trinity to them was Odin Villi and Ve who created to first two humans with tree logs. This was estimated to be created 900-1000 A.D yet the core is around 5th century. Now we can theorize this couldve been because they stole alot from churches and villages and made what they believe fit them. The Quran, Muhammad is said the be the messenger of Allah/God. Now he HANDPICKED his writers and with his own actions on how he lived we can see that, that wasn't true at all yet many still believe because of certain words he took from others to fit his life and seem heroic. This was said to be written around 609-632 A.D The Egyptian gods, Ra is the king of gods, father of all AND the gods, sun (could this be a reference to THE SON?), heaven, power and light. While the Egyptian gods were estimated to be made around 3100 - 2686 B.C.

@@kaltorakh Okay thinking and what is truthfully written are two different things. They can think or make up any kind of gods they FEEL is right until the objective truth comes out in that new civilization. Truth comes out no matter what happens to us and it could come differently just because we didn't understand it the first time. Their god can be unlimited/all powerful but by what is written they are limited to specific elements/certain powers in those "ended" civilizations. They can be unlimited in those specific powers that is written. However, everything else is out of that "all mighty God's" hands. Also you need to understand the difference between subjectively looking at things and objectively. Subjective mean based on personal opinions and feelings rather than fact. While Objective means variable information based on facts and evidence. This is the same problem we have with many lukewarm Christians who get these two mixed up way too often. Many do it blindly to justify their actions without the context of those verses So your point still doesn't stand.

The term god is the personification of everything that happens around us. It was a human effort to explain the physical world at a time when everything seemed inexplicable. That is why priests and scientists, believers and atheists, essentially refer to the same thing with different terms. However, the problem begins when we blindly rely today on books written in ancient times with the knowledge, perceptions and intentions of that time without taking into account that humanity is constantly evolving and constantly learning new things about the world around it.

We know it'd take many, many, many, many (many), many millenia for even the smallest rock to form in space. We can't talk about time as an on/off concept either, we know time is relative, we know this because we measured two different super accurate clocks at great distances, and found a discrepancy. One cannot claim to understand science and also be utterly ignorant of it.

@@-_Y0urFather- The definition of Eternal is exactly what God describes himself as. He is without beginning and without end. He is, and always was, and always will be. He also used the word eternal itself, and promises us eternal life. It's not just a phrase, its meaning should be understood. However people today lack the understanding of the word and thus lack understanding of the universe and how God created it. The very notion of "Well then who created God?" shouldn't be a thought in anyones mind, if they understood what eternal meant. Job 36:26 “Behold, God is exalted, and we do not know Him; The number of His years is unsearchable. Revelation 1:8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 1:11-12 They will perish, but You remain; And they all will become old like a garment, And like a mantle You will roll them up; Like a garment they will also be changed. But You are the same, And Your years will not come to an end. Psalm 90:2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.

@@aking4130Let me ask you something, can science explain everything? And if it can, can it explain your thoughts? And if it can, then you did not chose to think what you thought, everything you have ever thought is the result of natural processes that you have no control over. And if that is true, why should we believe anything of what you say? All your brain is is a mass of electrical connections. Why does that mean logic, reason, or science exists? All it means is that a light switch works just like your brain. So why should we trust you or scientists thoughts? Another thing, scientists agree the the universe began at some point. Some have things like quantum string theory. But the thing is, quantum string theory implies a quantum vacuum. A quantum vacuum isn’t actually nothing. It requires certain energies to already be floating around, thus, it couldn’t have caused the universe. Lastly, scientists aren’t human-shaped calculators. They have their own beliefs and stick to them despite the evidence just like regular people do. We shove it down and pretend it doesn’t exist. But once you open yourself up to the evidence, your eyes are opened. I would suggest getting the book by Frank Turek, I Don’t Have Enough Faith to be an Atheist. And his other book Stealing From God. Really good books that don’t use the Bible as evidence one time. I would suggest start with the first book and then moving to the second. Have a blessed day.

The great irony is that atheists claim that God is an unprovable explanation for the origins of everything which is the universe. But at the same time they conjure up explanations that are as unprovable as God. Be it multiverses (unfalsifiable), an eternal universe (contradicts standard cosmological models) or whatever mathematical constructs theoretical physicists cook up (Hawking's imaginary time, I mean what?). Extra ironic is that all of these alternative explanations have to be believed in since none of them has scientific evidence, the precious gold standard they use to assess reality. In other words, atheists take them with faith.

I think it's good logic, but there's so much we don't understand about everything we could be totally wrong - plus the fact that God created logic: he's not bound by it! If God decided anything should exist, it would do, in whatever way he decided. And just because we can't understand it - even without God's existence - doesn't mean it can't have happened. It's just we don't understand how. I'm a Christian, btw 😉
