This is cool, a rarely heard unreleased mix of Something Isn't Right. I'm told this was broadcast on KROQ Radio and luckily taped by a fan (thank you!). The first few seconds were missed so I used the released version.
The song was released on the soundtrack for the movie Bachelor Party.

OOHHH ITS GRITTIER i love it i like being able to hear guitar bass better and the organ hits. the vocals are much clearer too! fuckin sweet 3:07 goodness i love that backing synth

HFS. THIS version is ALMOST the quintessential version. WAAY better than the one I was somehow lucky enough to hear back in L.A. in the late 80s... I am ONLY missing the Vibes at @ 1:30 for nostalgia only... GOOD GOD SOMETHING is BETTER than RIGHT!!!!! I needed then MANIFESTED this today after 40 YEARS!!!!!

With the inherent compression of KZbin audio being a factor, I'd love to know where I could find a lossless format of these rare/unreleased/alt mixed tracks without sacrificing a soul to satan?

Considering they came from domestic cassette bootleg copies (this one taped from a radio broadcast) there isn’t much quality in the sources anyway and they sound the same on KZbin to my files. But I hope to put together a complete download collection when I have the time to sort it all (and a few other tracks to track down)

I find the lyrics here to be strangely poetic. I wonder if Danny was thinking about nuclear transmutations of oxygen and hydrogen into silicon when he wrote the part about water turning into grains of sand.
