I love how you returned to the mausoleum and nonchalantly said "Hello." Had that been me, I would have been running and screaming, lol! Thanks for the walk, DGW!
@maryfreebed9886 Жыл бұрын
Running away screaming is probably what the person who heard poor Rufina screaming in La Recoleta did, and why she ended up dying while buried alive. Returning and responding is the right thing to do.

I love cemeteries that have all the old headstones. It makes me feel that I've gone back in time. My local cemetery was opened in 1899 & has gothic style , grade II listed buildings in it. It's such a beautiful , quiet place & when you're there you forget that you're in a big city in 2023.

Amazing monuments in this one Dan. I was taking in all the Celtic Crosses as you ambled along. Egyptian Revival was quite popular in those days, perhaps there were birds or rats inside the mausoleum! Thanks for a lovely walkabout. Deb of Oz.

Hi Dan…put my headphones on to listen, and if you do same..when you started to read. The inscriptions on the front you can hear a thump in the back then…..but a louder one as you were walking away. Very strange. Love all these old monuments, and the mysterious things that happen when investing! Very interesting place. Glad your ok after slipping..always think of the injury you had to (I think) your ankle not long since…doesn’t take a lot to trip,slip etc in these places, which I did visiting a very mole and rabbit infested country graveyard on tues! My name isn’t Alice, but my foot went down a rabbit hole and I really hurt myself when I fell.! So feeling sore and stiff still after that! Stay safe! Helen 🙋♀️🥰👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🦋🦉🦋🦉🦋🦉

@@AlanMichaelJackson there is alot of rituals going on sacrifices. He is usually using night vision. Black shadows or people in capes walking on top. Apparitions around. So much damage underground where there is so much damage far the many skeletal remains. The really aren't looked after at all.

Imagine you say “Hello…” and someone else inside say “Hello..” back. I think will run away screaming.
@maryfreebed9886 Жыл бұрын
I dunno. If someone inside a tomb says "hello," running away doesn't seem right at all. The next thing to do would be to ask if they needed anything, since they are most likely in a far worse position than you are, being stuck in there.

There's quite a lot of ancient Egyptian symbology carved onto the mausoleum. It reminded me of the chariot card from the tarot. The tomb with its two pillars might represent a vehicle or chariot being pulled by the two lions or sphinxes. Maybe symbolising his journey from this life to the next. The open wings symbolize protection by the sun god nut. And serpents can also symbolise healing amongst other things. I would say this fellow had knowledge of esoteric traditions, Free masonry or the golden dawn springs to mind. This was common in victorian times among a certain class of people.

That's easily explained. It's a copy of ancient Egyptian art. I think anyone would love to have an Egyptian mausoleum. They're prevalent here in the US, too. After the Egyptian craze, everyone in our huge Victorian cemetery had to have a Sphinx, a Pyramid, or the Goddess Isis, wife of Osirus.
