If anyone is wondering how that last troll works, it relies on the on/off twice twice, also called checkpoint twice twice, where things change when you respawn at the checkpoint, because the switch resets to on. The first time you fall down the pit after getting CP2, the switch is off, causing a door to open leading to the ending. But the second time you fall down the pit after respawning at CP2, the switch is on, causing a different door to open right below the first one, so it looks very similar and you think it is the same one, however that one leads to CP1.

I figured out the level change trick: the second time was a different door than the first. On the second attempt, you can just barely see the original door behind the blaster. I'm guessing either POW block or on/off shenanigans change the height of the "floor" beneath, and thus which door you go into.

It's on off shenanigans because the switch is off the first time, but when you respawn at a checkpoint it resets to on.

Definitely on/off shennanigans. 17:32 it's the upper door (ending door), 18:47 it's the lower door (cp1). So there's 2 sets of blasters in the same arrangement but there's a layer of ON/OFF blocks for the upper level so when you respawn the default on/off setting kicks in, the lower layer spawns and prevents the upper layer from forming.
