Good morning to you all & hope you're all ok. Had tears in my eyes seeing Ben in hospital & than watching him on his trampoline.. Welcome back Ben. I agree that you need to take it further because this cannot be allowed to happen again, not just for Ben but for all the other people/children with special needs who have been thrown to the kerb. Hope the professionals are hanging their heads in shame especially when a simple blood test could have avoided the awful time Ben and you all have been through the last 9 months. What an incredible job you both do, such wonderful, amazing parents full of love for both your boys. There is nothing I can say but to give you both credit for doing the amazing support that you do. This should never of happened to Ben and of course Ben's suffering has caused enourmous pain for you both to try and get through his struggles and pain. I hope Sam is doing ok also. I cried so hard at this video after watching you guy's go through so much these past 9 months you have both said over and over that's something wrong with Ben it's taken him to have two seizers to now what's wrong with him you both need to look for a good solicitor to sue the arse of the doctors who haven't given a crap about your beautiful boy don't let anyone get away with this Stephen and Cheryl your Ben's voice no one else is going to stand up for his rights your wonderful parents bless you all stay safe and well xx

Glad Ben’s feeling better; he’s certainly a brace trooper with a wonderful smile 😊 I’m surprised about what happened at the hospital, especially considering the NHS has still a lack of training for autistic patients. I had a similar situation while I had a tonic clonic seizure a few years ago. But there’s certainly wonderful people out there too. Sending lots of smiles and love to everyone; you are amazing Ben and you are wonderful parents, Cheryl and Stephen 🙂🦋✨

It's so good to see you back, especially Ben on his trampoline! I'm not surprised you're angry, you've been fighting so hard to get help for so long. Covid definitely hasn't helped but unfortunately it's not the only reason this has been missed. Doctors only get basic training on nutrition and don't understand the importance of micronutrients such as magnesium and vitamins. The reason I'm in a wheelchair is because doctors didn't pick up on my vitamin b12 deficiency and it damaged my spinal cord. Also they missed the fact I was malnourished because I wasn't underweight, and that has caused permanent nerve damage. Doctors (especially GP) training needs to change so that this type of thing doesn't keep happening! I can't tell you how pleased I am that this has finally been picked up and I really hope Ben continues to improve until he's back to his old self. Sending you all lots of love and hugs x

It's so sad that people with developmental challenges fall through the cracks because of they don't communicate what's wrong verbally. I'm glad they've found the immediate problem. You do need hold people accountable who were responsible for observing him. I loved seeing him on the trampoline. If they put him on a seizure medication that could cause the tiredness. Otherwise, he may have something of a side effect. Make the doctors keep on top of this in case there may be another underlying condition that caused the magnesium levels to be so low in the first place. God Bless. So hard when doctors don’t believe parents. We know our kids so well and they need to step up and listen when we know something isnt right. They just don’t understand autism and always think it’s behavioural. Magnesium can have huge issues with muscle spasms and pain if it isn’t right. You guys have every right to be pissed off. So glad Ben is being his happy self. You guys are his best advocates 🥰

I know how you feel sometimes you have the feeling these professionals have not a clue about our special needs kids. My son is still in nappies at age of 12 and they don't seem to know what to do apart from keep issuing new nappies. No one has a clue how to resolve this. I think the UK is far behind many other countries for special needs kids. It's like they don't seem to be bothered. we all feel for you as family with special needs kids. As they have being failed during covid but then also before as well. Sometimes you feel like your banging your head up a wall. Just keep positive and hopefully things will get better soon.

Maybe, Make A Wish Foundation should give us with special needs a well deserved day out or holiday including me, Ben and Sammy especially after all of us had gone through all 12 months of this pandemic. If I'm planning a special day out for the special needs young people with Make A Wish Foundation, Frankie and Benny's Restaurants and Warner Bros Pictures UK and Ireland, to go to see a Special Needs Private Screening of Tom and Jerry: The Movie 2021 at Showcase or VUE cinema and a three-course meal at Frankie and Benny's afterwards when most of the restrictions had been lifted mid-may or early june. Will Sammy and Ben would like to go? I'm really sure that Ben and Sammy really deserves a cinema trip and I know the boys enjoy visiting the cinema to see movies :)
