plz make a project work with maida,salt and water made clay and tell us there advantages & disadvantages
@seanb9815 Жыл бұрын
Ok the result is very good. At first I thought it was a bit too soft but it takes moulds very well and there has been no shrinkage, it also dries very hard. I have tried Paper Mache clay, and cold porcelain and a few others but I think this is the one to beat. It seems ok in an airtight container and I have not put mine in the fridge but keep it in a cool place. Hope this helps other's. I used the 1st recipe which contains no glue. I will try the 2nd recipe one day to see if there is a difference.

After trying a few Cold Porcelain recipes and all of them have either shrunk badly or cracked badly, so I decided to try this recipe without glue and followed the step by step instructions. I have to say it's very easy to make and the texture is really lovely, feels almost rubbery and very easy to knead and mould. It's now curing for 24 hours before I see the end result and I am hoping there is no cracking or shrinkage.

I’ve not tried this yet. I do know only to use corn starch not corn flour. It’s a different product in the U.S. Also second recipe calls for plain flour. I assume don’t use self rising or any other kind. Make sure about the oil. Maybe certain oils are better. Baby oil might be best. I would think if it’s still sticky to add a little more corn starch and seems like the person put corn starch on board to knead. It’s like when your making dough for baking. Don’t substitute ingredients. Probably let your work dry completely before touching it. If you’ve don’t it perfectly and fully dry and it falls apart then recipe doesn’t work. I’m excited to try it.

I followed the tutorial step by step and initially, everything seemed perfect. When I kneaded the clay, it looked great, and I was really excited to start making shapes. I split the clay in half, saved one part for later, and used the other half right away. However, when the shapes dried, they started developing cracks and eventually began breaking into pieces. I thought maybe it was because I hadn't let the clay rest long enough, but the next day, when I used the clay I had stored in the fridge, the same thing happened. It cracked and broke apart as well. Unfortunately, the clay didn’t hold up as expected.

After 1-2 years, the model you made becomes empty. After all, starch and oil are just foodstuffs. I even threw away the dough ornaments I made with flour and wood glue in high school. Over time, they became empty. Still, this video gave me an very good idea . I will try cooking the starch with water and then adding polymer glue and powder paint. Thanks a lot.

@melissacurry3437 Жыл бұрын
Yes there is a HUGE difference between starches and flours.... the starches are the sticky part!
@sujadutta11 ай бұрын
@@jeanettereynolds3151as far as my knowledge goes, corn flour is usually yellowish bcos it is actually maize flour. (I am referring to India). Google says : Corn flour is a yellow powder made from finely ground, dried corn, while cornstarch is a fine, white powder made from the starchy part of a corn kernel. Both may go by different names depending on where you live. Corn flour is used similarly to other flours, whereas cornstarch is mainly used as a thickener. Corn flour in UK is the same as Corn starch in the US.

No because it contains more than just pure starch. Corn starch is just the starch and when mixed with water and oil it becomes Electrorheological fluid. If you mixed corn flour with water and oil you would have dough.
