Jafaa: This episode made me realise that Adaleeb was neither mature to get married nor ready to become a mother. I entirely blame the parents for her running away and the suicide attempt. Zara had her parents at her back, so when in trouble she went straight to them. Andaleeb’s parents never understood or supported their child whenever she tried to reach out to them, so she didn’t return to confide in them. The father was blaming her even when she disappeared. Her marriage to a much older Umair was a mistake too. In reality also, parents when considering an arranged marriage, go for a 7-10 year age gap, saying that women age early. Mental age gap is never considered important and people do not realise that such couples have difficulty in communicating and understanding each other.

One thing I like about Hassan a lot is his feminism. Whenever drama makers show bias towards female characters, he's always the first to question it. Like in this review, he pin points how Jafaa's writer gave room for redemption to Numair but made Andaleep so wrong that now, viewers cannot sympathize her and hate Numair for what he did to her.
@mahirasaiyed16183 сағат бұрын
Agreed . especially when Numair was the one who was at fault .
@SensiblyVoyeuristic8 сағат бұрын
The script of Jafaa hesitates to address the reality that even a 20-year-old woman, though biologically capable, might need more time to fully commit to responsibilities like marriage and motherhood. It’s not that Sehar Khan performed poorly; in fact, she succeeded in portraying Andaleeb as someone who wasn’t emotionally prepared for motherhood. She simply wasn’t in the right mind space. So why are you fixated on the idea that how can a mother not care for her child? The answer is straightforward: Andaleeb herself was still a child in many ways. Just because she engaged in religiously sanctioned sex and gave birth to a healthy baby doesn’t mean she would instantly transform into a self-sacrificing mother. Andaleeb was an only child from a privileged background, accustomed to doing as she pleased and loving whom she chose. When her life abruptly fell apart, it’s no surprise she felt overwhelmed and even spiraled into madness-perhaps rightly so.

Seher is good, but nowhere near what Sajal was in this phase. Sajal did Nanhi & Muhabbat Jaye Bhaar Mein in the 2-3rd year of her career. Not only was she brilliant, but she also got immense critical acclaim. Hassan seems to exaggerate a lot of his praises sometimes. Of course Sajal is far senior, but when comparing the same early years of both, Sajal showed far more potential and versatility, while Seher seems to be lacking. I think it’s because of Seher’s eyes which reminds Hassan’s of Sajal

Okay I know there are directional and executional issues but Deebu's reaction is not that unrealistic. She has been all over the place since episode 1 and thanks to her horrible parents. They abandoned their daughter and she left her daughter in the same way. Its a pattern. Deebu was never mature to get married and have a child. She said to Numair in the previous episodes, "ap ko bacha nai chahiye tou mujhy bhi nai chahiye" indicating an abortion like a joke. She has not personality beyond Moiz and Numair and she hasn't gotten a chance to be her own person!!

The story is confusing BUT I finally see why Usman Mukhtar chose to do this script. Everyone else who is shitting on Dr. Numair is really not getting it. Comparing him with Hassan who was an actual abuser is pathetic. Male infertility is a taboo subject aka people are not comfortable talking about it even doctors and well educated folks. If it was so straightforward that Dr Numair could go around telling everyone about it upfront then it would not be a taboo subject at all. DUH !!. At its core Dr Numair's fault is miscommunication which was also the fault of Mustafa in KMKT (although at different levels). He is not crazy and he is not abusive. Kuch bhi pele jaa rahein hein. I would recommend you watch Usman Mukhtar's interview with Mahwash Ajaz to see a more human perspective. Andaleeb's parents are the real villains of this series because they failed miserably.

Absolutely right... I really don't understand if he even went for a DNA testing so what... can't good people have doubts and frailities which come forward when in difficult situations. Nothing in what she did makes sense and Samira Fazal made an inedible soup out of the good drama just to glorify Numair 3) Director should have interfered in this ridiculous arc to Numair / Deebu. Uggh . What are the actors to do when they have to act out such a weird screen jiska sar aur pair nahi hai. Did Danish Nawaz just give up on this drama ? Looks like he did.

Yes there are numerous mistakes in execution which makes us neither relate to nor empathize with the characters, but again, expecting it to have a run of the mill romantic happy end would also be wrong. I am not rooting for anyone here but hoping that the show elaborates on the mental issues each of the main characters has.

U guys think so but in reality a mother really is very detached to her first born daughter. Idk why but mostly if a woman has her first born as a daughter, she is emotionally very detached n is hyperattached to her husband rather n if the mother is hurt due to husband, her detachment gets even stronger with her daughter n she immediately thinks that this child is of her husband. On other hand, if a woman's first born is a son, the woman immediately gets detached from her husband n all her attachment n hyper possessiveness shifts to her first born son.

they might show Zara and Numair getting married and immediately get divorced as Andaleeb arrives. Hasan would come back , cured and they may get married again.......lol

Jafa is ruined beyond redemption. Faraar is quite exciting. I love the way the drama takes the three entirely different cities in its loop. The pace is great. Love it.

Jafaa's writing is so bad. Mental health pe focus karne ke chakkar emin baaki sare aspects pe dhyaan nahi diya.

Jafaa started off as an iconic drama wutg numair being such a green flag and zara being so strong even after going through domestic violence...but andaleeb character was absurd since the starting...it was okay till her being immature and gradually started accepting and adjusting to the situations but now the recent track of andaleeb is definitely not making sense...41:00, hassan is absolutely right

23:34 really Hassan? Is that how Duniyapur also trends when it does sometimes? Is that how KMKT also trended? Is that what Fahad Mustafa was referring to as "Planned PR" where he bought bots to play KMKT on loop all night and day long and it still would get stuck b/w 22-25M views every time?? Jaise Apki Marzi was much better drama than any of the dramas currently being on aired! Many young women found it relatable and used to share their experience in your own comments sections.

Hassan, with all due respect, please stop comparing Sajal to people who are not even 1% worth of her talent. Sehar has been playing the same one character since Fairytale and that too so OTT. Sajal in her early 20s has given us some of the most iconic performances in PTV so this comparison is disresptful to Sajal and her talent.

Hahaha. Amna you’ve figured out so much about behind her eyes. The only thing you couldnt figure out was because NOBODY could’ve thunkkkkk. but that homosexuality element had me!!!! will wait for you to finish and then discuss it 😁

Exactly my thoughts about Jafaa- Thrown her character under the bus and dragged it. No reasoning for leaving a newborn just ridiculous ruined her character. Why she never was offered therapy? Zara hassan was so well done had therapy track but a suicidal person was called immature never offered therapy thats where they lost me. Numair is getting lots of justifications. Men get the room but not girls Hassan you said it perfectly. Even Hassan had a whole backstory but not Andaleeb🤦🏻♀️
