Honestly it just seemed like nauman ijaaz just doesn’t like Ayesha Omer if you compare her interview with yumna zaidi or someone else. Also he is an extremely misogynistic person. Coming from someone who has been assaulted the line of questioning was extremely upsetting and offensive. Kudos to Ayesha for being so patient no one has the right to make fun of anyones pain. I may not be a fan of Aisha Umar but clips I have seen i really felt bad for her. He was seriously insulting her. it was pretty clear that she was completely caught off guard. I have seen the interview where aisha mentioned this incident. She was just trying to teach others to talk about it and how to cope. She also told reason why she didn't even tell her mother about it. That interview of her was really good. But Nauman Ijaz for sure lost my respect a bit after this. I stopped watching his show because I didn't liked his political stance. He was offensive like this to some political guests he invited. It ok not to support a certain political party but if u call a figure from that party u should respect them. He didn't even give them a chance to explain themselves.

Just because a person is a good actor, it does not follow that they are also a good person. Nouman Ji is a great actor but he is also a small person with a small mind. I have only watched his show once and thought it had a degrading, mocking and disrespectful tone. He comes across as a highly self-satisfied man and why shouldn't he be. Pakistani society treats men like this as gods. Men like them are used to hearing yes, they get what they want when they want and how dare some woman complain about how she is treated by men like him???? Are you really so sure that Nouman Ji even thinks that harassment of women is real? Don't all women want men to want them sexually???? I think his line of questioning is disgusting and is evidence of his true views and not a 'foot in mouth', generation gap, poor choice of words situation. The man is victim-blaming whilst helping to shield the perpetrator! This behaviour is so normalised in our culture we find ways to excuse the people who do it. Misogyny is a learned behaviour and Nouman Ji''s entire demeanour is dripping with it! Ayesha Ji is just the type of strong, successful woman that would rub the Nouman Ijaz's of the world up the wrong way. Funny how he brings up Ayesha Ji's 'bold' photoshoot with Shoiab Ji but doesn't pass any judgement on the man involved, oh no!! It's fine for him to be in a 'bold' photoshoot! I have never thought much of Nouman Ji as a person so am not at all surprised at his views. Talk shows interviewing artists on Pakistani TV are a disgrace! If the artists didn't need the exposure or weren't contractually required to appear on them, they wouldn't. They all seek sensationalism and susti controversy. It is just so disappointing when the people doing it are actors themselves Like Nouman Ji and Ahsan Ji these guys should have more self-respect. They should also hold their peers in higher regard than they do. Hassan Ji's show is shaping up to be the best and could end up being the Lettermen Show of Pakistan! Letterman, Leno, Ross and Norton of the west never demean their guests, they hold them in high regard and it shows! They are fans as well!!

Was about press thumbs up, until I saw the Letterman comment. The creepster who was caught with a whole array of women behind the scenes in his office! Letterman is infamous for belittling and insulting guests, especially if they happen to be non-American. So yes, great comment sans the aspirations for us Pakistanis to, as usual, look up to even the trashy standards of Hollywood (rather than looking at the GREAT standards of PTV and STN from the golden era of Pak T.V). Just my 2 cents, no offense. We´re all just expressing our opinions.

These brands that are being compared to in the West, have a legacy and history to their name. They didn't just start off selling super expensive clothes. Some have many decades of experience. While I may have regards for his body of work, I choose to not show respect towards him as an individual. They say separate the sin from the sinner:) Along those lines, I believe that Will Smith has been banned from the Oscars. It's a consequence for his behavior, not necessarily a punishment. Consequence targets the act, hopefully makes the individual realise that every action good or bad has repercussions. However, punishment shames and targets the individual:) And that is why his work as an actor will be celebrated if deserved.

Same here! Mash´Allah good for you! I´m an overseas Pakistani, and think that it´s problematic as Muslims in particular, to wear and inadvertently promote brands of people who live pretty questionable lives according to our Deen. The worst for me has been seeing hijabi sisters wearing Louis Vuitton and Dolce&Gabbana scarves. Yikes! Do they know what lifestyle they´re inadvertently financing and enabling through their shopping choices? Those fashion people are PRETTY awful, and are the very "master minds" behind horrible social standards of beauty, body and more. Drugs, eating disorders, white supremacy, haraam lifestyles that I don´t even want to mention...and much more is what these dumb customers are financing by running after these "luxury" brands. Not to forget, as mentioned in this episode, the amazingly talented poor people that actually get dimes in exchange for sewing these clothes and are severely overworked and underpaid in questionably small and inadequate workplace environments!

She is not name brand by any means but a celebrity with a start up brand. It obvious that celebrities are backing her up and price point is ridiculously high. I mean I can afford the clothes but I am not about to spend my money on a plain piece of clothes. There is little to no thought behind the vision of the clothes. So you can be honest here. Sadaf didn’t go fashion school and it’s shows clearly. So this is not “ek kissam ki baimaani” it is baimaani period. Nauman is a great actor and need to be limited there by Pakistan media. He’s setting a very wrong example of inflated ego and masculinity. Puts women in such poor portrayal that powerful men like him and hence all in the society from their position of power can bully, humiliate women for the stand they have taken. Shameful!

Hassan and Mawra are really good friends in real life which is why Hassan took the liberty of asking her the questions that the audience was wondering about. @@alizaehsan7274 I understand what you are saying, but difficult questions don't have to be about an actor's personal life. They could be about their views on subjects they have spoken about publically? They could be about different opinions regarding the characters they choose to play? They could be critique regarding a specific role they have played in a drama? I am just wondering why so-called 'hard hitting' questions are always focused on an actor's personal life, marriage or something scandalous? I also have an issue with constantly inviting guests who are friends and then taking liberties with them. I think that's a really good way to jeopardise your friendships. Noman Ijaz's work is truly a class apart and the variety of complex and challenging characters he has played over the years has garnered him the respect and admiration of the masses. He does appear to be wiity and quite shrewd, however apart from that his comments like 'I work while I am ba wudu' and 'my work is like ibadat' in the spiritual vein don't match his opinions that he shares about people, life and the industry. He definitely treats those he likes with praise and respect so he seems to have personal biases that interfere with his disposition. As an educated, perceptive and professional person, anyone and especially those who have been given the status of legends, 'need' to behave courteously and professionally. It's basic etiquette and holds more merit especially if someone claims to be so connected to Allah. Actors and celebrities who shine in their personal lives are truly inspirational because of their impact on audiences that look upto them. Obviously Allah tests us by granting us so much as much as he does by withholding from us. I hope we can all strive to be better human beings first and foremost because if we cannot do that, nothing really matters; the fame, wealth, power etc is as perishable as they come.

so i think, if a big brand ends up selling a lawn suit for 30k (there are so many from this year) I don't care, because its not worth my money, and the brand has built a base for itself and they have a clientele so ill move on... however with sadaf kanwal's brand, the issues are many. for starters shes not a fashion designer. shes a model, so that cuts away the fashion school and experience costs. secondly her outfits are PLAIN SILK SHALWAR QAMEEZ. no embroidery no karhai, nothing. just cut stitched co ords. that's where people have an issue... as for noman ijaz, he's a very unlikeable person based on how he discussed ayesha omar. he invited her just to HUMILIATE her? personal likes and dislikes aside, i felt like that was uncalled for. i interview had so many issues. discussing her age, belittling her outfit, saying outright that shes wearing a night suit (lol so uncalled for!!) and asking if shes doing it for attention, one could ask him if he's so scared of being outsted by somebody else?? whys he, of all people, askign her to stay silent? haven't watched sangemah because his personality leaves a sour taste in my mouth, ruining the experience. hania amirs personal life is one thing, its personal. however with the likes of sana javed and noman ijaz, the entire shows are unlikeable.... amir liaqats previous divorce started off the same way.... that is all i have to say XD

Hasan and Aamna; Nauman Ejaz’s behaviour was so relatable and cringy. I was harassed at workplace in Pakistan a few years ago during an office hosted event and I wasn’t able to call out right there on the spot but raised with one of the higher ups later in the evening. But eventually all the men in that age bracket (40 and above, the same generation as Nauman) socially and professionally boycotted me, they wouldn’t even say salam and defended the harasser by saying that he was only joking and they were not even ready to accept that that person harassed! Whereas, all the guys my age were with me, they understood and supported me. The higher up, was also in his 50s but clearly an aware person and supported me but he was the only one among so many from that age group who understood harassment.

One possible solution to address the two extremes being “complete insensitivity” and “absolute cancellation” would be the introduction of a “code of conduct” by channels, designer labels, production houses etc. This should describe the level of non-criminal but disapproving behaviour/attitude and the penalties/disciplinary actions that would be undertaken if either of the parties are engaged in such behaviour.

Very strange, even though we all agree he's such a wonderful actor anyways its disappointing for sure. But its not the first time NI said something about this, in Iffat Omar's show he kind of belittled the me-too movement as well, then goes on to do Dunk and now again these kind of comments are not graceful coming from an actor/public figure stature.
