Sadly Maya Ali’s bad acting is also not helping Sadaf’s character. Granted that the writing is equally bad. Maya has a very boring and unfavorable screen presence. She is stuck at just trying to look good and focuses on makeup, hairstyles & clothes (which would work best in modeling) Even in Yunhi, somehow she could not get people interested or love her character while that was not a badly written character.

The analysis of Sadaf’s ammi’s character was spot on! I was wondering how she could say that while her son has cancer and is undergoing treatment. The way she was blushing while talking about Bilal Abdullah was very odd. Jafaa: It is immaterial whether Andaleeb is alive or not. The issue is what the writer actually wanted to convey in the drama. Was the drama about physical and emotional abuse? Was it about psychological problems? Or about wrong decisions of parents? What is the character of Umair, a plain jealous husband who couldn’t trust his wife? A doctor who is not sure if he can father a child or not, would go for a retesting to check his sperm count, not wait for the child to be born to do a DNA test. Please explain his character and end the drama.

Hum TV definitely needs to step up their game when it comes to drama endings. They kick off with a lot of excitement but after about 10 episodes things start to go downhill and the drama lose its momentum. Currently many of their shows have weak scripts and mediocre storylines and the one episode per week policy makes everything really slow. I'm really hoping that Qarz e Jaan keeps up its momentum until the end. The beginning of this drama is so promising that I have really high expectations for it.

The lack of depth in her performance fails to evoke any sympathy or empathy for her character. @anuvaid6457 yeah, and that's exactly what I mentioned in my other comment. Bilal’s character graph is not steady at all. This childish behavior is totally out of character for Bilal. He is someone shown to be bitter who doesn't believe in love and built a wall around him to protect himself from emotional turmoil. But here suddenly he falls in love for no apparent reason. And as Aamna Hasan said, what does Sadaf think she is. Why would BA do such huge favors to marry her . Nothing makes sense in the world of SMD. Even fantasy genre ( which it is not) should have some logic.

Amna mam thank you for making effort to watch SMD without any judgement. Wahaj performance is on point and it has to look creepy bcz BA is 30+ year man who has fallen in love for the first time.. Enjoyed the SMD review on SH much more than watching the last 2 episodes of SMD which were a pain. And you're right the writer and director are much more to blame. But I also remember you saying in an earlier review of some other drama (sorry forgot which one) that some of the onus lies on seasoned actors also to point out how their character should be portrayed. In this case Maya Ali and Saba Hamid, being seasoned actors, could have pointed out some of these flaws.

The way Jafaa is progressing has really changed my opinion and proven me wrong. I used to think Andaleeb and Umair’s storyline was handled better than Zara and Hassan’s, for the most part, but after the recent episodes, my opinion has changed. Looking back at the plot, character arcs, and performances, I now feel that Zara and Hassan’s storyline has been executed much better, despite its own flaws and inconsistencies. The recent episodes have really made me reconsider how their story has been shaped and portrayed, and I now appreciate it more than I did before.

In reference to Bismil drama, a similar situation unfolded in our family. The husband was deeply in love with his wife, who was not only exceptionally beautiful but also financially independent. He had a wonderful relationship with their children as well. Their life took a drastic turn when a second woman entered the picture and disrupted everything. The husband became a completely different person, and even his bond with his parents and siblings deteriorated before he used to call a Taab-e-daar beta. Surprisingly, the second wife didn’t even match the first one in any aspect. So yes, such situations do happen in real life.

Completely agree with Hassan for The Buckingham Murders .Although the story wasn't too great but was really impressed with Kareena Kapoor's acting and her no/ minimalist make up look. One could even see her frown lines and dark under eye circles in some scenes !

Amna mam one thing i have observed in your SMD reviews of these 14 episodes is that not even a single time you have mentioned Wahaj's performance/acting while he is having conversation with any other charecter of the drama. Whether it is Mirza saab(episode 1-4), Sadaf(episode 8-10), Zaviar(12-14), Hamsha(episode 13 ) Ammar( episode 2) plus importantly Farzana( episode 14) which was BANG ON! Im not saying this as Wahaj ali's Fan, but as an observer.. Its just Hassan sir who raise those point but you shifts to other characters/Story line.. With Atmost respect im saying this,you have thank Wahaj because he has given you different glimpse of how a Man in love behaves/his emotional side which i feel you are unaware in your real life!.

Even I thought maya ali was so average. Her strange nasal accent,I’ll meri you just killed it. But wahaj Ali’s eyes talk. The story was all about his passion,his love, his money,his thoughts, which we thoroughly enjoyed. His expressions are so engaging, they carry thru. Rahat fateh Ali’s fabulous rendition just took it to another level. Thank u wahaj and rahat fateh Ali’s khan Saab..

Sunn Mere Dil - Few Qs & comments : 1. Since Day 1, I have had doubts about Sadaf's mother. Her responses are so underwhelming to major incidents in her life - Spouse expired and she was the most 'under-grieved' widow, Son was identified with cancer & Sadaf's reaction was more crestfallen than the mother. Her advises to Sadaf has been contradictory so many times. I have a feeling she will be the hidden villain in the show and the first clue we got was when we were told that she is Sadaf's step mother. 2. Its becoming evident that Sadaf has also started falling for Bilal but is getting influenced by Hamsha that clouds her judgement. Both of them are in love! 3. Shahvir has hit the ball out of the boundary playing Zaviyar!... That boy is making his father proud! 4. Sadaf character is now becoming irritating and Aamna got it so right!... She was ready to surrender herself to Bilal for 8Cr & now she is rushing into marriage to avoid his moves!... Suddenly she is OK in keeping the 8Cr + energy and expenses of living in US for a prolonged treatment + effort of the follow up trip after 6 months! 5. Why is Maya Ali given sentences in English when she struggles in her pronunciation of few critical words. Its OK to speak in Urdu. I have seen Yumna mess up many a times. The writer or actor shld be able to change the dialogue than & there if they have a flawed pronunciation!

Bilal Abdullah does give the creepy expressions, thank god someone else mentioned that too. We've seen Wahaj giving much more Romantic expressions in a ad of Muse Luxe without any dialogues

Both Sadaf and her mother are characters that are flawed in every aspect possible. It’s very difficult to watch their scenes. No disrespect to actors but I feel the writer and director have seriously let them down. Such a shame 😢

From the phone conversation with Bilal and Zaviyar, it seems they are informed about Zaviyar’s treatment. When Sadaf's mother started discussing Bilal with her, it made sense since the central theme of "love" needed to be highlighted. Regarding Sadaf's confusion: it doesn’t seem like she isn’t thinking about Bilal. For instance, when Amar came for the dinner and Sadaf thought it might be Bilal, she ran to door, smiling. This shows how serious she is about love. In her conversation with Amar at the office about Humsha and her fiancé, Sadaf admitted she couldn't relate to Humsha’s experience of falling out of love. She asked Amar if love really fades like that, reflecting her deep contemplation about love. Humsha’s perspective also added another layer to Sadaf’s thoughts about Bilal, leaving her overwhelmed and unable to decide what to do. Moreover, she didn’t see the courage in Amar’s demeanor when it came to confronting Bilal. All this explains her confusion, but her decision to marry Amar remains unclear for now. Perhaps this will be clarified later.

Jafaa: Am I the only one who thinks Andaleeb's facial expressions after knowing about the DNA test were not of shock, astonishment, or sadness, but of fear. It seemed to me as if she was scared that Numair was doing a DNA test, as if she was apprehensive that her secret would be out, as if she was anxious about what would happen now.

Andaleeb attempting sucide does not look good in any case. There's NO valid Justification for it, whatsoever. I don't know what the makers are thinking and how will they redeem this flaw. Andaleeb seemed totally fine, no hint of postpartum depression, or her feeling unloved and mistrusted to a degree that leads her to attempt before. How they could so easily and conveniently show mothers abandoning their children is beyond me. Oh and also, if they somehow show that she never attempted, all other scenarios would be as foolish as this is. So much for praising the drama for being close to reality😔 It's sad where jafa has come to. I'm disappointed.

In Jafa, my guess is writer will make Zara and Numair get married and make Anadil a reason for that. Meanwhile Andleeb who tried to commit suicide by jumping into the river and was saved by a fisherman and went to coma. She will gain consciousness when Zara and Numair will have happy relationship. She will be back and Moiz will also be back from Dubai. Andleeb and Moiz will then get married and both couples will live happily ever after.

Jafaa: Someone commented that the baby is actually not Numair's that's why Andaleeb ran away because she was humiliated or she ran away with Moiz..and something like that..Numair's mother didn't shed a tear and Andaleeb's parents makes no sense.. What's the point of such characters where they made everyone fall down in eyes,we are doubting everyone's character.None of the character stayed up with expectations.. The only saved character is till now is Zaara.. The only things I like in Jafaa is Mawra's wardrobe and Jafaa's ost..Also Mawra's acting.. Truly disappointed with Jafaa after Zaara's hospital episode
