I have since discovered that a lot of my fitment issues are likely related to the mk1 body on the mini. So your mileage may vary depending on the year of your mini and the subframe and bonnet types.

Looking good. This is much more appropriate for the car. But, as I said before, I'm old and still get on with carbs.

Thanks Gray! Honestly seeing it installed now, I totally agree. It just looks so damn good.

Hey Cole...Make sure you really examine where that fuel line runs and make sure that it’s not rubbing against any of your hose clamps with sharp edges. Also… I would really double check your fuel filter where it sits now and make sure there’s no potential things that may bump it or damage it ... spilling fuel all over an area that generates sparks/electricity. It’s always tough in these cars to find the best spot for those fuel filters, but I mounted mine on my bulkhead near the wiper motor which has plenty of space to view and keeps it out of the way of anything mechanical that might be working

Thanks for the heads up. I went and rechecked all the lines after this to be safe. No clips or anything that look problematic but I did rotate the clamp on the coolant line just to be safe. :-)

Cole, I hope you are aware of the fact that through the years dozens of types of throttle linkages have been produced. Up, over, beside, beneath... Direct, indirect... Linear, progressive... The neatest one, and will probably fit your car could be: classiccarbs.co.uk/product/weber-dcoe-dco-sp-carburettor-underside-throttle-linkage

This is actually bookmarked on my computer haha. I think at some point it could be cool to move to the throttle linkage-type as a test but the slight modification of the existing one was easier and much cheaper for now. I also have concerns about fitting the charge cooler hoses under that linkage. Defintely something to try in the future!

@@classicminidiy Ah, ok... You were aware. It's not really cheap, so I get it. As you were... 👍🏻
