Hey NL/the viewers watching from home, quick tip when using pressure points; it triggers the marks on all enemies not just the one you target. So for example with the last boss fight there, if you used that last pressure point on deca instead of donu it would've killed donu because of the marks already on him (not that it would've mattered in this case, but still, it's a good thing to know for the future). I'm still loving the slay the spire content, it brought me back in to the game again (:

TL;DR be nice to NL. The way I see it is that life's too short to be mean to content creators, especially ones that I not only enjoy but watch daily. Egg's mentioned it before that he tries to not let the mean comments get to him, at the end of the day if he uploads a video and like 60% of the comments are calling him bad or dumb or whatever he's likely to pivot into something that won't get that response. At the end of the day I think most of those comments do come from good intentions and are made in good faith, but people forget that NL is a person too. Sure he might make what look like dumb mistakes, but I'd reccomend at least once recording yourself playing a game for 20 minutes while trying to be entertaining and have a running commentary. I can barely even hold a conversation for that long let alone do what basically amounts to a monologue while also keeping track of playing a rather complex rogue-like.

They need to buff pressure points for real though. Or maybe have more ways of applying it. It's slow as it is and having enemies with triple artifact and cleansing just makes it rough to use.

@@jpryan90 If they added a card that allows you to capitalize on the Pressure Points that would be good. Like something called "Calculated Strike" that deals a 2x multiplier of however much PP is applied and then exhausts. It could synergize with Wrath making it more worthwhile and allowing you to utilize your scaling.

I love how people refuse to understand egg. He's impulsive, it's his personality. He WILL periodically make illogicial decisions because of this. @@BaneOfXistence4 If you combine it with Signature move and actually remove strikes from your deck + keep it tin, it can easily get you beating Asc 19. It did fail me on 20 though.

Keep up the good runs NL. And Pressure Points (Mark) is to be used for multiple enemies, not just one. Try to remember that no matter who you place a Mark upon, ALL enemies with Mark take damage.

The Darkling died because Mark triggers on any mob that has it, not just the mob that you target. So you can exponentially bash a single mob or spread the damage between several mobs.

Pressure Points is such a tough archetype (and it really is an archetype, because you have to all in on it for the card to be even remotely takeable) to push through, even on low Ascensions. Having to chew through so many artifact stacks to even start doing damage on quite a few encounters is really brutal when you could just use stances and plow through like 40% of the encounters in the game immediately.

Thank you NL for another episode I could pedal to. After watching it's really got me thinking, it might be good to take another look at scrying, in particular the powers that let you scry at the start of your turn and give you armor for it. The enchantment that scrys for you is essentially MTGs Surveil 3, draw 1 at the beginning of your turn, and further enchantments just add to the surveil count. So Surveil 3, then Surveil 3 and draw 1. The armor is essentially a freebie as well for a power card slot. You'd essentially get to curate your draw by trying to dig whatever you need while getting defense out of it as a result. It also seems like it would make those "when you change your stance, return to hand" cards that much more powerful. If you could dump them all from the top of your deck, then enter wrath, play all for free, then enter calm and play them all again it feels like it would be a pretty sweet combo synergy.

In my experience pressure points is almost always a trap. It's fun to build a deck around, but it gives you very little flexibility in your build which is a bummer every time.

Try picking up Foreign Influence (especially upgraded) in a run sometime. I once built a deck with 3 or 4 of them and hardly spent energy each turn because everything with zero cost.

Meditate + Establishment is *ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING*. Establishment in general is great because you can usually get away with fewer blocks and attacks, since you just hold the ones you need until you need them AND they become free, but with Meditate, you can read the card not as "Choose up to 2 cards from your discard pile to have next turn," but "Choose up to 2 cards from your discard pile to make cheaper." Making certain cards cheaper is really, really nutso.

Yeah sometimes there are certain events you want to get (bloody idol, apparitions, library) but most of the time you will get stronger from hallway fights, than question marks. They increase you percentage chance of seeing rare cards, you can add cards to your deck, get potions, and get gold. But you run the risk of dying! So...
