My ex-husband always said he preferred me without make up and even though I've always been into makeup I stopped wearing it so much. Mostly because it became a hassle for me to do it due to his complaining that it took too long. When he walked out on me, one if his reasons was that I didnt dress up enough. Damned if you do, damned if you dont, thats why they can take their opinions about us and shove them where the sun doesnt shine.

From what I've learned, anytime a man says he wants you to look more plain jane, it's because he's insecure about your beauty, and wants you to stifle it as much as possible so that he can feel secure, and feel more in control over you. The idea of another man having you is damaging to his ego, so he wants to try to protect his ego by putting you down. But then of course, once he gets what he wants, like the dog that he is, he looks for what's more appealing elsewhere, and proceeds to blame you for him stepping out because of you 'lacking what he wants', even though he was the culprit behind that. Moral of that situation: never ever change for a man. Be you, and if he doesn't like it, send his ass the fuck on. The woman is the prize, sista ❤

He only tried to instead pit me against my sister (which I shot down), and then tried to isolate me from my family (which I also shot down).
