On the public I hunt around a lake close to me, the deer stay out on the edge of the lake and on the ends of the long points that go out into the lake. Especially after they get a lot of pressure on em.

Been a lot of good deer killed on those small parcels in that area of the state. Gotta be on the right piece at the right time. Have a camp on the river down there looking forward to getting the boat out next season.

I’ve got to get on it before end of season, these podcasts always get me fired up. Family has 500 acres in Crenshaw county Alabama and the hunting has been slower than usual this year. Hoping to send a video in soon for some Q&A. The deal about the peacocks reminds me of a deal we had..my boss's daughter (about 35 years old at the time) sent him a picture and her comment was "Daddy!! Look at the turkeys!" What it was ..a flock of about 10 guineas. We laugh about that. Surely that girl should realize the size difference. I know she hadn't seen a live wild turkey but has eaten turkey at Thanksgiving for years.
