When my niece was month old, my brother called and asked if he and his family could come to visit. When they got to my house, they came in with baby stuff. Gave me hug, turned around and started back out the door. I stopped them and asked them where they were going and was to a month to sleep. I had my niece for three days and two night. My niece never slept. They only came to get rest.

I couldn’t quit laughing at Brook telling about her throwing up in the water and those fish all around her eating it and those guys saying YES, that’s what they want, that’s good, what they want! I could just see poor Brook trying to hold onto that boat and barffing sick and fish chasing her😭, ohhhh I just howled with laughter and tears rolling down, I couldn’t quit laughing, sorry but she was so funny and serious at the same time telling that adventure, poor thing and all for Jason! Ohhh I still laugh when I think of her😭😭

Jason, I am in tears while you are telling your story: wasabi is hot and its NOT Avocado! You are not the first person that thought it was Avocado not realizing its HOT Wasabi.....
@susanlee84803 жыл бұрын
Wasabi? Yep, I was one of those🔥🥵,😁🤣 I will tell you though, the hottest hot I had, was Indian mango chutney. I’d eaten 3/4 of a fairly large jar of jalapeños at one sitting and no serious burning upon Eating them at one session so I thought that would be okay to try the chutney, as the mangos were sweet. Boy was I wrong! You know after you have something really hot, you breath out and wave your hand in front of your face? Well I was breathing out 🔥of my mouth and nose🔥❗️😬😁 That’s why I moved to Alaska - just to cool off! 😁 Just kidding.

I was at a Chinese buffet with a friend and she did the same thing. She thought it was guacamole. Sounds like you got the real stuff. Some places stretch it with horse radish paste and green food coloring. I always love it when you dance, but I understand the restrictions. Just makes it all the sweeter when you do it for us.

When I was a boy I remember eating beef tongue, heart, liver, etc. quite a bit. I liked it and still do. I suspect we ate it back then because is was cheap and money was tight. Mom always made it taste good.

I've eaten beef heart, my mom would put stuffing in it, and liver but I could never bring myself to eat the tongue.
@rhondaalbrecht3 жыл бұрын
Mom hated making beef tongue when I was around. She grew up in the Depression, so it was a common dish for her family, growing up. So, it was something she was familiar with. However, if she made it when I was around, NO one else got any of it! I STILL enjoy it, and I'm now 64 years old. It took me a few years to get used to beef liver, hated it growing up, until Mom came across a recipe to prepare it, like chicken parmigiana... breaded, tomato sauce, mozzarella. That cinched the deal for those of us who couldn't stand the texture or taste of beef liver. Now, it's a delicacy that when I go to a restaurant that serves liver and onions, I'm ordering it, because hubby doesn't like liver.
@dorothyallen36143 жыл бұрын
Mom made tongue, she’d boil it with spices, skin it and grind it through a meat grinder and it made like a potted meat that we eat on sandwich bread and it was delicious and if you didn’t know that it was tongue you would never have known because she wouldn’t have told you! I just happen to see it cooking in her pressure cooker pot, she looked at me and put her finger to her lips and said a quick shhhh! and I knew not to say a word! Nobody knew it either! Delicious! Wish I had the recipe 🤷♀️🤷♀️

The biggest benefits to homesteading is to supply part or most your own food. Health concerns, ethical raising and harvesting practises, farm to table traceability, more self sufficiency, etc: 1) Any plans to raise meat birds for your own consumption? 2) Are your two garden tilling pigs heading for freezer camp? 3) How big will your row crop vegetable garden will be? 4) Are you going to add more greenstalk containers?

@DarrinsDaffs3 жыл бұрын
I’ve been plagued by motion sickness all my life! As a child, I was always given either Dramamine before going on car trips with my parents. I have graduated to store brands whether it be any of the major drug store chains, Target or Walmart. The chewables work superbly! I have a very good friend with a mountain home in North Georgia. I totally understand what you mean by feeling I’ll even when you’re driving yourself. But, not since I’ve started taking these. I just take one to two tablets 30 minutes or so before we’re getting in the car to go somewhere and I’m good for the day. Oh and no sleepiness. Life is too short to get carsick!

You felt 5hr flying was long. From here in Australia, even Singapore is 7 to 8hrs, similar to Malaysia, around 10 hrs to Japan, Korea, to 12hrs to get to LA or San Franciso, a bit less to Hawaii, and more to east coast USA, To go to Europe is 21 to 24 hrs. My worst trip to Germany, was caused by HR department missing timely booking, and getting into conflict with end of tourist season in Feb/Mar. I ended up with a stiched together, multi plane change, multi transit lounge wait, trip lasting some 44 hrs flying. I was up and about for over 50hrs, though sleeping seated on some planes, THAT IS A LONG TRIP.
