Moody shelter-You may want to still put up some type of shelter he can get into because the rain is very cold and can chill a large animal faster than the snow and the cold up north. And then in your summer, it would be nice for him to have a shelter to get away from the flies in the sun. Unless he has some pretty dense woods, the flies are going to torture him. I’m sure you guys will figure all this out because you’re so good at paying attention to your animals. I just thought I’d throw these things out there as FYI suggestions.

I've raised cattle and dairy cows. Moody absolutely needs a shelter not only from cold, but also from heavy rain/storms and heat. If what happened in Texas (extreme extended cold) happened in Alabama, Moody would be in trouble because cows stay warm by the body heat of other cows. Equally, he needs shade. It would help to put skirting on the bottom of the trailer. Also hanging throw blankets or blackout curtains over doors and windows. Also area rugs to cover the floors, but make sure you cut out holes for any floor vents for your furnace. Another thing my husband did was large tarps over the roof. But you have to be sure your plumbing vents have cut outs. And if you have any slid-outs you need to find a way to add insulation to the rubber gasket that seal’s the slide-out. We lived in a trailer full time in northern Alberta with a couple of winters getting to -40 to -50°c. But our trailer had an extra insulation package add on before we bought it.

Cog Hill keep your oil heater dusted and wipe it down each fall before you use the first time. The dust/dander all of us dog lovers experience will burn and smell. We use an oil heater in our camper and keeps us toasty.

Kitchen cub-boards using what we call foil finish are real delicate and not great for high traffic use. I had a carpenter’s shaker kitchen and I loved it for style and durability. We did a Center island in black and I loved the contrast BUT black shows every hand print and dust when the sun hits it. Good luck with your choices … FYI in this new house I went with a very light grey and love it. MaryCarl gets a gold sticker for choice of food and I love how y’all listen to her and validate her suggestions. Great parenting!

Hi Cog Family 👋 Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday🦃 I went back to the video where you guys rescued Sassy Man. I needed that recipe for the overnight french toast casserole Brooke made 🤤 I want to make it for Thanksgiving breakfast, Thanks Ms. Cog for helping me look fancy😆

They used the canary's in the mines. I used the oil filled heater in my tiny house. They work really well. My experience was it added about $50.00 per month for each of those oil heaters. I live in the north east.

That's the kind of heaters I use. Love them. I use the small one in the coop. Much safer and you can adjust the temp.

I was going to say “ buy 4 health” at tractor supply. I am a member of a rescue group and we always buy it because it’s one of the best mid range priced foods out there
