From the 1st time I watched them skate I watched every championship, program, and of course the 2 yrs of the Winter Olympic's which they won the Gold medal both yrs. After the 2nd Olympic gold medal that they won I watched them every chance I got & I still do. I Was so heartbroken when Sergei died, I felt so sorry for Katia & I don't think she will ever find a man who Loved,Cared, for her as much as Sergei did. They were the perfect couple & when you watched them skate together you could see each one of their hearts beating at the same time!! Whether it was on or off the ice. They were a true pure example of a couple that showed & expressed True Love, & Happiness!!!

Yes, the movie was just an imaginary illusion. But the love that Katya and Sergei had for each other was real; you can feel the intensity in their skating and the way they look at each other. They were not just performing, they were living! I'm so glad they got married young and were able to live in happiness together, since his live had to be so short. They were the best pairs skaters ever! I fell in love during the '88 Olympics.

I always thought it was interesting that she said the one thing she was never worried about with him was that he would ever find somebody else. AKA cheat on her with someone. although she's much more comfortable skating by herself, you can tell on the rare occasions that she gets to skate pairs she still skates like she sees him.

Becky De La Fuente Yes!! She did say that. She also went on to say that as she grew older (and wiser), she realized that the trust she had with Sergei was sooooo very rare. She didn’t realize it at the time, but she did years later (probably after her relationship with Ilia🙁). She said that she found it sad that sooooo many women do NOT get to experience the type of trust she shared so effortlessly with Sergei. It makes me both sad and angry. Sad for her that she had something so perfect & so beautiful for only such a very short time.....and mad for that same reason. That it was ripped from her so suddenly with no warning....😢

Does anyone know where I can find their video skating in the clown costumes???? I remember them. They were Magical and so in love. He was such an awesome skater!! When he looked at her, you could feel the love. Such a tragedy when he died. 😢. You are right, he will Never be forgotten. And somewhere in time, he is waiting for his Katia. ❤️
