Thanks mate. I’m trying to actively post more content, as and when I can. Videos like this are very few and far between. So much work goes into them. But the smaller ones can be knocked up in a few hours, no problem. I don’t play because I don’t like it very much anymore. It’s not the same as when I was 16, when it felt like I was playing Goldeneye or Call of Duty for real. The 2000’s were my fondest years of the game.

@@BadaBingPicturesI know what you mean, I started airsofting in 1992, modernity and technology have massively changed it. I appreciate the fact that it makes exercise fun, running round the woods for five hours certainly makes the legs ache. Thanks again for all the content 👍😄

@@HUA-ns5wx Absolutely! back in the day when the only accessories you could get, if you were lucky, was a sling! I miss those times. Hah, I do more exercise now than when I used to play! It’s all about the cool-down in the evenings though. Cold water therapy helps.

I have the same problem with the LA5 units from TMC with GBBR recoil - especially on the RATech N4 - the battery contacts are always an issue when they're co-axial. Had the same issue on both of my clone EOtech 552 units on my G36C & HK416 as well, I'm moving over to 558 clones because they have the single transverse CR123 which solves a lot of problems. Most annoying...
@BadaBingPictures11 ай бұрын
Definitely annoying. They should have the foresight to see issues with that arrangement and plan for it.
@sogerc111 ай бұрын
Hey BadaBing, I do you one better: the peak of the AR15 is the Vietnam era M16. Although Schwarzenegger's predator hunter M16 M203 is not bad either. But I participate to the global war on terror, with the HK416. European guns are always better, amirite? I used the US style interjection for effect 😉 I'm an absolute novice in night vision, but I also prefer the look of this one tube unit, especially those 4 tube models look pretty wacky.
@BadaBingPictures11 ай бұрын
I’ll do *you* one better, why is Gamora? If we’re talking M16’s, I grew up with the A2. So that’s my jam.
@sogerc111 ай бұрын
@@BadaBingPictures Nice, so you got it 😉 In my eyes the M4 and the M16 is the same gun but in different configuration, that's why I went all the back to the vietnam era variant. And it's still the same gun even if they call it URG-I or Block _N_ or whatever.
@BadaBingPictures11 ай бұрын
@sogerc1 sure. Variants of the same platform. I’d like an A2 GBBR. A lot of folks didn’t care for that one, but I like it.

I have been looking at the Somogear stuff (LA-5C in my case), but am a little frustrated by some weird aspects. Really tight illuminators, non-coaligned vis and IR lasers, and zeroing knobs breaking. I am thinking of just going all out and getting a Holosun just because I know it will work and always will work.
@BadaBingPictures11 ай бұрын
Really don’t blame you there. Those Holosun units look good.
@totalfailforfun472111 ай бұрын
holosun is probably the most reliable option compared to somo. It is used for real shooting after all...
@aaron482011 ай бұрын
The reason why even firearm content creator like hop or brass facts prefer somogear over holosun is because of power. Holosun are civilian legal so their power levels are very low, where as somogear copies the full power units at high settings. That said, ironically because we are airsofters, the power limit is a good thing.
@totalfailforfun472111 ай бұрын
@@aaron4820 neither hop brass facts have recommended the somo over holosun. Somogear can’t keep up with the durability and the reliability of even holosun, which is the considered one of the most affordable entry level LAM brand on the market. Is the power level nice? Yes, but it isn’t everything when it comes to a LAM/illuminator
@Kefuddle11 ай бұрын
@@aaron4820 Indeed! Even a £70 WADSN PEQ IR laser under nods is dazzling in a very dark setting like a forest. I think full power is best left to things that can touch other things hundreds of yards away.

If you burn the other teams retinas they won't see shit, so you won't have to call your hits.
@reJECT011 ай бұрын
Isn't any laser, IR or visible, terribly dangerous and capable of causing permanent damage to the retina if over 5mW's of power? Seems in terribly bad taste to be advertising such a product on a channel dedicated for airsoft. EDIT: Went and did more research and the answer is maybe. But generally speaking it's better to err on the side of caution and just not use Class 3 lasers in toy gun larp events.
@wazzdawg11 ай бұрын
My guy, there is a reason why there is a screwed-in safety block from accidentally switching to high powered mode. Unlike most US airsofters that give little to no shit about their colleagues, in the UK we're not dumb enough to take that off during a milsim.
@Kefuddle11 ай бұрын
I read that green is really problematic in terms of vis lasers. IR lasers can be still dangerous too, which seems odd to me, but that is what I have also seen written.
@reJECT011 ай бұрын
@@Kefuddle IR Lasers are generally speaking more dangerous, since they dont trigger a blink reflex.
@BadaBingPictures11 ай бұрын
Whatever the lasers output it’s important to remain responsible. Then there’s the benefit of Passive Aiming, with Red Dot sights. Extremely difficult for me to do with PVS-7’s though 😂 Turns me into a Psyclops, and putting the stock in the centre of my chest is awkward! However red dot on a pistol, it’s perfect!
