I just happened to come across you two a couple days ago now. All I can say is damn, you two are so incredibly raw! It is such a relief to hear you both perform in the full, yet stripped down way you do. These days music is so busy without being fulfilling. Very cool! On the surface of it, it may seem easy to do Robert Johnson songs, but doing them extremely well is very difficult. These ladies totally Ace it! It is also worth noting that despite Robert Johnson having actually recorded those songs 90 years ago, they're still malleable, capable of being morphed, and still having meaning and resonance today. Years ago, I saw Fusion Jazz/ Rock keyboardist Jan Hammer (probably best known for his collaborations with Jeff Beck) playing Hellhound On my trail with his power trio band that didn't even include a guitar, and bassist Colin Hodgkinson ( originally from Ten Years After) played Preachin Blues solo on bass without any other accompaniment. Still probably the single most awesome display of bass guitar technique and passion that I have ever seen.
